They said it was gonna be coming sometime in april. Its may now i haven't hear anything of the game. Does anyone know anything about the progress or the release of the game?

It's been submitted to the App Store and should be released within a few weeks.
After watching this video, I can see this game becoming my newest addiction.

It also runs quite well on an iPod Touch, which is what I use to test the game (among others).

It might be awkward, but imo marble control should be by touch, and camera by accelerometer.

You can pick your method of control for both camera and movement, mixing between accelerometer and touch however you want.
The new camera for MBM automatically adjusts to the direction you are rolling when you are using the accelerometer. You can manually override that with touch inputs.
Vice versa for movement if you wish. Believe me, once you get your hands on it you will be rockin' within a minute.
