Visited today planning a study trip for my students. Local mountains were topped with snow as a result of the recent rains. The views of Los Angeles were absolutely beautiful from the terraces at the museum.
I would love to live at the Getty =) No, I lived in LA in 2007. I currently live in Seattle, but hope to go down to LA around the Oscars and definitely visit the Getty again in March. Thanks for stopping by.
I tried living in LA in 2007. Santa Monica is great, but really expensive. It is over priced so really it would only be worth living there if you are a celebrity, in the entertainment industry, or wealthy to have a place there but not live there year round. LA was pretty weak on traditional culture, but the Getty is spectacular.
It's interesting that your video shows a macro view, while my video shows a micro view.
My first trip to the Getty, I was all about the macro. The light playing on the travertine, the flow of indoor-outdoor space. It was all a bit overwhelming as a statement of grand scale beauty. I did not look at much art during my first visit, because the art that caught my eye was the space its self.
During the California Video exhibition at the Getty center, they launched a YouTube-like website called Video Revolutionaries. The site was done sooo badly with so many security holes and horrible compression (worse than YouTube compression.)
By ecstacy can be understood in general a state of maximum fullness, usually associates to a situation of intense lucidity that hard some moments in order then to return to the cotidianidad, where even this is tranformada by the prior event, being been able to feel still some constant degree of satisfaction, is that I feel for a good architecture.
I have all ready checked out your other pages and I must say that I am impressed. i believe you shall suceed in all you attempt! I have added your pages to my stumble page, which you will find my url off my youtube page. Peace!&Love!2U&Yours! PiTrinam
Cheers! Hope you visit again and check out my other videos from my travels. I'll check out your channel after posting this reply. The Getty is gorgeous, has something for everyone, and I hope everyone in So Cal and beyond get a chance to see it and share in the aesthetics. It turns a bland week into something extraordinary.
One of my favorite places in the world.

So, we, the Infinity Lab, had to hack the site.
