I actually discovered this myself by accident when I had my 1st fight and I was jumping around like crazy cos my opponent moved like he was on speed+steroids, and I landed up there.

Pretty cheap ass way to win though, since all the arena battles seem to be WAY easier than even random bandit fights (although I only started using the Arena when I got to level 24 HAHAHA), but since the enemies level up with you, then I guess the Arena's ALWAYS been easy as a vietnamese prostitute on pills.

omg i had a tough time with that one to, what i did was just use the flare spell on them over and over and over. when only one was left i would take him down with a sword. i suggest carrying a lot of potions that restore magika while you do it, or use a bow and arrow

there is easier way with high sneak and marksman... just sneak before gate open. and when it open shoot at opponent. You will get critical strike. shoot 2 other times - still criticals (he doesnt see you). Win!

There's an easier way to win. go to the market district head ito Rindir's Staffs, and buy the Apothesis staff. then go to arena kills enemy in one hit usually. great weapon for beginners.

i know a better way, if you are born under the sign of the shadow get the spell creater at the arcane university and create a 10 sec or so invisiblity spell, and then get behind an opponent and go into sneak mode, then while in sneak u get sneak bonus so keep attack him or her in sneak until they die thats what i did, really easy, make sure u save first tho, u might need good sneak skill idk, i did it in 20s level cause i waited to long, arena feels empty after you beat it, the gladiator is sad

i have a better thing for everyone to make the game easier and u can change it whenever u want, some people may know this but:

at the oblivion game menu go to options-gameplay and yuo will see a difficulty glider, pull it to left for decreased difficulty and move to the right to make it harder, do this to get through the arena quickly and then if you want u can change it back to normal or make it harder :)hope it helps
