  • TOM IS A BOSS!!

  • i want your envelope knowledge! :)

  • Where did you get DHS loops

  • So, you have to put a gate on the the "ghost" kick so it won't be heard? You can't just make "no buss" it?

  • @BeatsBySammyB

isnt it a standard part of ableton?

  • @BeatsBySammyB why wouldnt you use operator?

  • yeah, inspiring. I looked for the sidechain and learned how to make a kick and a base (and lot of other little things). Thanks man!

  • Sweet as Tom good stuff once again ;) Cheers!

  • i dont have any plugins there, and my vstplugin directory is missing or has not been installed, how i resolve this problem?

  • @amatordehiphop

You don't have to install a directory :P , but you have to define the vst folder... Normally something like C:\program files\vst plugins or something like that...

    Go to Options->Preferences

    Open tab 'File/Folder'

There is a header called 'Plug-in Sources' with a option 'vst plug-in fcustom folder'

There you can set your plugin folder!

  • @mrqreeny problem is i dont have any VSTs in my pc, ableton didnt installed them and i was wondering where i can get some good vst :D

  • @amatordehiphop There are no vsts that come with ableton, they are unofficial plugins, you must find your own and place them in your defined vst folder.

  • you are the god of inspiration for us ableton users. :)

  • What's a keck dram?

  • Once Again.....Nice!!!

  • Cool trick

  • Brilliant... I always wanted some more sidechain control but never worked out how to do it quite so easily with so much control. Great work on the video too. Perfect pace.

  • Nono, please get carried away, I think I learned more from that ~1 minute you got "carried away" than most other tutorials. Great job!

  • very cool-- thanks mucho!!!!

  • I wish I could press the "like" button alot more times than once

    thanks Tom!!

  • Awesome ! Thanks !

  • Nice~!

  • lovely, thanks!

  • Learned alot from this Tut,

    thanks!

  • Another quality video Tom. Thumbs up. (and 5 stars! - bring back stars Youtube)

  • Thank god, this is so useful, having to edit the notes of the dummy side chain individually was wasting a lot of time.

  • Thanks for this video.

I think it's kindda funny that you use all Ableton-Shortcuts in 0,0001 sec but to stopp the recording of Screenflow you always use the mouse. :)

    Best regards

  • You don't have to put the gate on the chain to make it inaudible, you can just turn the chain off completely and the compressor will still receive information. Interesting though. Makes choosing a release time pretty nifty!

  • Awesome vid.

  • Thank for your video

  • You rock!

  • Sidechain kick dummy FTW!

  • good stuff..thanks for sharing.

  • So simple and effective

  • nice but too complicated :)

  • really need a full version of live :D nice shit m8.

  • Great stuff man.

  • Thanks Tom !
