On some of my more recent blades (half prowler) the other end of the tent stake I used has a hook thing-a-ma-jig... so I'll se where that takes me.

this is the same blade mrscowt made. for a locking mechanism u can cut and bend the top right of left corner (depending on wich hand u will where this on) then attach a new keyring towards the back of the string and when u extend pull the string onto the hook u cut
