  • it sounds like the fire companies were too slow in starting the water flow from the hydrant! Very bad news!

  • Don't confuse the sense of urgency with reality. Engine 1 came to the scene very quickly which fed handlines into the structure/fire. Engine 2 dropped and fed hose to engine 1 (tank water) and then connected to the hydrant. At no time did anybody in the structure lose water.
