I agree in ending this discussion. However, I just think it is important to point out that a difference in opinion does not make someone more or less intelligent than any other person. Just because some young people are uninformed, doesn't mean we all are. I resent being stereotyped based on age. Only 61 percent of people who could vote in 2004 did so. And I doubt all of them knew enough about the candidate they voted for to make an informed decision.

While Pink does have a relatively young audience, that shouldn't necessarily discredit her and her music. I think it is entirely possible to listen to an artist and not necessarily agree with every single one of their viewpoints. That's the beauty of music.

I would like to point out that I've played this song out on gigs and had many people that own their own homes, pay taxes, and have raised families come up to me telling me how much they agree with the song. It's not just the youth.

Again with the contradictions. You take issue with a song that doesn't refer to Bush in any derogatory terms, yet you are calling a presidential candidate a dope merely because he is a democrat? And what makes songs like "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue" any different than what you are here referring to as "liberal propaganda"? There's a double standard going on here. Pink's viewpoints reflect that of her audience, just as Toby Keith's reflect the viewpoints of his.

Just because not all of the youth of america agrees with your viewpoint doesn't mean that this is left wing propaganda. And no one expects the President to provide a nice life for everyone. "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" as the declaration says. Happiness isn't a guarantee. But we sure as heck don't need to sit back and be okay with our president bastardizing our country. That's the difference.
