i dont get why he only had his tunic and pants even after he became king and never got a new horse or armour or weapons. just somthing i thought about after i saw it, also is it based off dungeon siege or just relates heavely to it?
@Armastice1918 It only relates heavily to Dungeon Siege, the land of Ehb is right, the fact that the hero is a farmer, Norick, Stonebridge, the Krug, all straight out of Dungeon Siege... The story... the only part of the story that is actually 100% True to the game is the Krug attacking Farmer at the beginning...
Am I the only one who finds it sad that the only movie to tap into the deep well of epic that is Blind Guardian is a bloated video game ripoff by Uwe Boll?
@TheBladeEdge I'm sure the band members are entirely crushed knowing that they have offended yet another rabid Christian merely with the name of their band, and not even their current name, but a band name that they changed before becoming successful.
Let me guess? You'd like to burn them at the stake and all that?
@EldarForLife No need mate, I have no problem with Christians any more than Muslim or Buddhist. But when people make idiotic comments like that there is just no excuse!
The song is beyond incredible, but the movie was fucking painful to watch. I had no idea that they played this in the credits, though. I turned it off when guys started climbing into catapults and setting themselves on fire. I wish Uwe Boll would do that. I think the movie can be summed up by its best line: "Give me the chicken! AR AR AR!"
This movie kicks ass, though I've never seen it sober. Introduced me to Blind Guardian, so it deserves a watch now and again when I've got nice green. Though it's safe to say pretty much everyone involved was miscast.
When I was watching the film I was thinking "Oh God, this movie is terrible" and at the end and the song started I was like "ok the movie is not that bad" :)
first time i heard BG was after this movie...best song ever....tghe movie wasnt that bad...it couldave been better but worth watching to thend until i fouynd out the name of the band
I didn't even see the movie. I was studying in my bedroom, then suddenly heard this ending song and came rushing to the living room, to try to know the band's and song's name xD then turned on my computer and found this one *-*
@RockerZeki : Aw, it wasn't *that* bad... better than I expected, not as good as it could have been. Good cast and a halfway decent director bravely doing their best with a crappy script.
I think the movie was like Good and bad at the same time, so I find it a just okey movie^^ And when this song started playing I was like "WOAW" This song really fits the middleage!
I completely agree! After it was over my friend turned to me and was like "Now WHY do you make me watch that?" Then Skalds and Shadows shadows starting playing and he was like "OH!"
@malkhy Hahaha yeah xD I'm sorry but Jason Statham does NOT belong in epic movies. He should stick to his Transporter movies and pointless man flicks. Let Russell Crowe deal with sword fights, horse riding, and glorious battles in shining armor.
@Humanh8ter He's a far more versatile actor than people give him credit for...part of the problem is that no one writes him as anything but The Transporter. The writing in this flick was god awful. No one could have saved it.

that song should have been in the lord of the rings instead of a b rated movie like "in the name of the king"

@OverFuryAndTheFire The film's called 'In the Name of the King', this song plays during the credits. Uwe Boll has his name on it, so.. beware ;)

It's true that the movie wasn't very good, but then again, if it wasn't for the movie I would have never found this awesome band.

@Humanh8ter I disagree. Jason Statham was just miscast for his particular role in the movie. He would have been much better as a Krug.
MoonIMover 1 year ago
@MoonIMover I have a feeling he still wouldn't fit. He's ugly enough, but he doesn't have the beefy arms and the menacing war face.
