Pot is not only safer than crack, and non-addictive, but it’s safer than aspirin, caffeine, and every single prescription drug out there. Far safer than alcohol. Far safer than Sudafed...

If you smoke cigarettes, u should smoke pot, too - it’ll decrease your chances of getting lung cancer.

@spiderman292007 the only thing they found bad about smoking weed is the LEAVES have like 4000 carcinogens, but they never mentioned that the BUD has less than 200. when ur smoking tobacco u smoke LEAVES. i got a whole group of friends who smoke TONS of pot. these are the kind of ppl who load up 2.5 grams in a bowl and smoke it in 1 hit and hold it in for like a minute. Their doctors have all at one point checked their lungs and they are as clean as a whistle. my cig friends all have emphasyma.

I watched that video. It is that kind of non-fact based propaganda style media that gets nothing done. From a medical and scientific point of view there was literally absolutely nothing of substance, just a bunch of people saying they were cured. I wouldn't expect somebody that would make such an outlandish claims to read many medical journals but you may want to check out the studies done by John Hopkins University to understand WHY it works instead of THAT it works, endocanibinoids.

Weed doesnt get rid of Cancer, it just enables those with glaucoma and other types of cancer to escape from the pain of chemotherapy. And yes you can get Lung cancer from weed....you would just have to smoke 45 joints a day....for 3 years....so weed is pretty much safe.

cannabinoids (found in cannabis) kill cancer cells, its not just my opinion. cannabis also supresses naseua, and chemo makes u sick. so weed is pretty much great :O

@brady1is1crazy1awsum Actually, marijuana has the same amount of tar and other chemicals in it that tobacco does, but because you smoke more cigarettes than blunts/joints, you have a lesser chance of contracting lung cancer from marijuana than cigarettes. This is not to say you have a zero chance of getting lung cancer from pot. It is most certainly a possibility, but you need to be shot out pretty much all the time.

And yes, pot prevents BRAIN cancer and increases your metabolism.

@RACairsoft Pot is nearly harmless. The ONLY reason why it's not legal is because of the pharmaceutical companies. Pot helps depression, PTSD, AIDS patients, glaucoma patients, cancer patients, MS (and other diseases that affect the muscles), and just for recreational use (much, much safer than alcohol). The pharmaceutical companies do not want it legal because pot will take a lot of the pricey medications they sell off the shelves. They make over 500 BILLION yearly off the medications.

You can watch it on a website called topdocumentaryfilms. It runs about an hour and forty five minutes, but it's absolutely amazing how much they go over in the time. They discuss all of the myths and explain why they're incorrect (pot does NOT kill brain cells, and was never proven to do so, however it MAY actually stimulate brain cell growth!).

@17JDOT No, it does kill cancer cells. It initiates apoptosis by messing with the AKT survival chain (not sure if it's kinase or whatnot). When this apoptosis pathway is initiated by ceramide, the cancer cell (which has faulty kinase checkpoints and issues with surface receptors) will literally implode and form "blebs" because of powerful enzymes released in the cell. Somehow, cannabinoids are able to protect normal cells because of their surface receptors -- it is not known exactly why.
