@Watermox Some young people like Hendrix, but they do not recognize him. All Along the Watchtower , a Bob Dylan song, is classic and probably the best example of who Jimi was as a guitarist.
Music companies seem to find it hard to accept that hearing stuff online more often than not leads to a sale - certainly I buy loads of albums after browsing and following links online.
The vid shows Pete Townshend playing a Strat to the background music of "Won't Get Fooled Again." Problem is, Pete used a Gretsch 6120 Chet Aktins to record that song. ....and virtually every other Who song in the '70s.
I saw Pete play in 1973 while doing the Who's Next tour. He did not play a 6120 on stage, he played an SG. Pete does perform this song nowdays on that red strat.
Thanks for the comment. The song Eric played is called " The Shape your In". A little trivia here ...he wrote this for Patty Boyd whom he stole from his good pal George Harrison. He was a little upset finding her intoxicated all the time. George was probably releived that Eric was now her main man.
In July of 1965 in Newport, one of the most defining events in Rock and Roll History took place when Bob Dylan walked on stage not with his Martin, but a Stratocaster.
Thanks. You are right about Clapton on the Lead. Harrison has said of the solo:
"So Eric played that, and I thought it was really good. Then we listened to it back, and he said, "Ah, there's a problem though; it's not Beatley enough." So we put it through the ADT [automatic double-track] to wobble it up a bit."

@chirpybee These are short clips too. I bet the artist would not mind. Fender does not mind show casing their artists and their guitars.

Yep, Pete thought the Gretsch a bit too fragile for stage use. But he used it for all his studio work. ...played through a '59 Fender Bandmaster.

Good list. I like the songs you chose too. Of course George Harrison's solo is actually played by Eric Clapton.
