You know, there wouldn't have been slavery unless the African chiefs hadn't been the ones to sell the slaves. Think about it. A single ship or so at a time, what can it do? Just chase it away, or go hide in the jungle. Instead, the African tribes enslaved each other, sold the losers to the European slavers from a penny and there go. Blame your brothers still in Africa.
I'm also amused by the whole racism against whites. What has blacks ever done better than whites?

As time progressed blacks adopted the word to mock the whites as a joke, and it eventually just stuck.
