Perhaps if this was not just the moment before the exploitation it would be better. Like the sea before whaling---this is the scene before deep sea drilling operations by combined globalized commercial interests. German steel & engineering, British on site exploration, French scientific application and US platforms -------Western exploitation reduex.

Seems like any change in undersea volcano activity and the associated heat it produces (+/-) would have an impact on the ice shelf. I was wondering, have found any such changes?
