  • ill drink to cash...but ill drink more to clint...

  • I can't make out half the words Clint sings. I definitely prefer the deep voice of Johnny Cash

  • this right here is what real country music is supposed to sound like

  • TRUE COUNTRY UNLIKE WHAT THEY ARE PLAYIN NOW DAYS THIS IS THE STUFF I GREW UP ON LOVE IT

  • This is a great song from a great, albeit brief, period in modern country music. Clint Black, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, Randy Travis and Alan Jackson were hard country kings in these days. Too bad Nashville decided to kill this music in favor of becoming the heartland feel-good poptart alternative to MTV. :(

  • @virtuousvoice Well said.

  • of the younger of the older singers, mark chesnut makes good drinking songs too!

  • The first country song I ever liked

  • This is one great album..every song is great..Clint made this one back when he still had his balls..Once whats her name showed up his music went to hell..to bad really..he was a kick ass song writer/singer too.. A woman can make a man & break him too.

  • this is the best beer drinking music ever written

  • This couldnt be a more true song in my life at this point!!

  • I knew Clint before he cut this album ...when he played a small bar in Houston call Timothy's .. he is a creation of his own hard work and song writing ..nice guy also...

  • Just a freaking great country song - all time GREAT.

That don't make em like this anymore - the singer, music or the lyrics.

  • Old time country songs From the Heart not like these songs now!!

  • I never in rodeo but if I was I would listen to this song before I go out to get ready Right!!!

  • I remember when Jack McGaw introduced Clint 1988???? as up an comer, CTV sure was right, the name of the show escapes me, but Mary Lou Findlay was also a host Live it up????????????????????

  • I remember when Jack McGaw introduced Clint 1988???? as up an comer, CTV sure was right

  • That one dislike had to be someone whose tears clouded their vision and they punched the wrong button. This guy is GOOD, and so's the song...

  • college drinking tunes!! Lots of miller lites at Arkansas Tech in Brown hall to this one!!

  • i always liked Clint he has the same quality as (god rest his soul) chris ledoux not to many singers from the 90's+ have the musical touch to be considered great. i dare say not even george strait can compete with the old fashion sound Clint produced....fyi thats a personal opinion. great job on the music

  • Rascal Flatts didn't like this.. homos

  • Love this song it reminds me of when I was a kid

  • Clint hit #1 for 3 weeks on 1-20-90 the first of serveral multi weekers

  • nobody,s home -clint black gijoe989.

  • Dam I remember that, it was Friday right?

  • Veldig bra sang

  • what happend to clint black

  • can beat clint, one of my favorite CD's is his, along with the obvious, Alabama, Blackhawk, sawyer brown, just to name a few of the greats without going back into the ol willie waylon and merle days

  • if i found out who the asshole that pressed the dislike button was i would bury my boot up his ass. Nice song thought

  • its the best song!

  • One person dont understand TRUE Country!!

  • Clint Black appeared at the 1989 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Is there any footage of that anywhere?

  • <3

  • when i been drinkin i love this music

  • takes me back so love this i miss these days of real country.

  • This song makes me want to hook my 4020 up to a oneway plow and drive.

  • anyone else think that clint makes the best drinking music?

  • Clint Black was the sunset on good country music- he, Brooks, and Jackson closed it out. By the end of the nineties, it wasn't country anymore.

The next best one out of my favorite four of his...

  • @HHSGDFootballJPD I agree that shit today isnt country.

  • @chadkubis I think most people do. The only issue is when people begin to mix it with classic country music.

I was listening to a country station that I used to love, until on their country oldies program, they played a song by Kenny Chesney and a song by Kenny Rogers by 2005, neither of which I felt were 'classic'...

  • he is one of the few country singers I love the new country today does not even compair to this

  • saw him in richmond virginia right when this album came out early 90's

  • This crap today is not true country. This is the classic beer drinkin, lost love song.

  • @mtf62 thumbs up for that...but I have to put George Jones above it. Still great music though.

  • Spent 3 wks. @ #1 in '90, which would become more commonplace from then on in Billboard. Hit #1 1-20-90. God bless!

  • @Brewchief2002 where can I find this Texas country I live in Ct and grow up on a farm and hate the crap they call country today and yes I'm a Yankee thru and thru but their has to be some out there that is more country than kid rock and the lead singer from hooty I grow up listening to the old greats thats all we could listen to if my granddad was around

  • @nfd1960 that's cool to know there are country fans in the NE. It's not about North vs. South these days, it's about city vs. country. check out george strait, alan jackson, brooks&dunn, mark chesnutt if you like 90's country.

  • you said,,,,

  • Best broken hearted song ever.

  • @badcock1 you you said.

  • Man....what else could you ask for? Fiddle, steel, and electric all working together so perfectly, you can see the smoke rising from the bar this song leans you against. The solo at 2:36 is my most favorite in all of country music. Bring back this sound so I can quit wearing out my CD changer!

  • @Brewchief2002 totally agree its a shame what country is now, but thats what u git when u try 2 appeal 2 every1 u loose what was so great bout it

  • @JohnDeereBoy06 I couldn't agree more! I recently got the new Easton Corbin CD, closest thing to real music I have heard from a new artist in a while. Worth a listen to a few of his songs on here. Take Care All...

  • this is my second fave that he sings~~~

    thanks for sharing~~~

  • u cant hear a fiddle, flat top box, or steel guitar hardly anymore the song "murder on music row"really sums it up but thats what we git 4 progress

  • The bank don't own my pickup truck!! But the lights are own nobodys home!!!

  • @Cuteiswhatiaim4dude

You're gay asshole. Why don't you go listen to a douchebag like Justin Bieber instead and leave those of us with good taste in music alone!

  • great song to sip some whiskey too.& yeah i still have that ol' pick up truck 1990.....f-150

  • yep u gys are surely absolutely right about the 80s being the decade of country music. cuz that is all i used to listen to then. and this wuz one of my fave songs. also i liked shanendoah sunday in the south. grew up with soul in the 70s but in the 80s i couldn't groove to nothin but country. now i listen to everything. this is the best song by clint black. its 5 stars and mikeyboy dont lie!

  • The week this song hit number one I was born! I just turned 20 back in january. You are absolutely right. 80s-90s country had to be one of the best if not THE best time for the genre. guys like clint, garth, george, alan, travis, randy, and alabama are one of a kind and their music will always trump the stuff we hear today!

  • A Song about How Life Really Seems 2 Be... Such a SHADOW of Who We really could be. GOD, it's Such a Struggle 2 Bear Sometime....

  • @CuttinGrass08 johnnie walker :then listen 2 this great song
