Best tip for striking is if you want more accuracy and not to kick the floor if you miss time it knock the ball with your right foot, (assuming your right footed) to the right of your body. Swing your left arm forwar and lean ever so slightly back or forward. (Leaning back lifts the ball and leaning forward keeps it low) then strike the ball as if you were dragging your foot just above the ground and hit with your laces. This is my recommended shot.
My advice to youngsters out there.When you go to bed. see yourself doing it.. imagining yourself doing it.... see the technique... imagine yourself hitting it... how will it sound and feel...where does the ball get hit to get the full power, what part of the foot, feel it. see the goal.... see the ball flying into the net and the keeper diving in vain.... then practice it... try and replicate what you seen... practice practice practice... then when its game time.. its on! ;) you know what to do!

"The upper leather on your toes" is correct. He didn't say to toe punch it. If you don't, you'll kick the ground. The ball will hit your instep as it compresses into your foot. This is what gives it the energy to bounce off your foot, making your shot travel faster than your leg can move. The more important part of what mentioned is to be OVER the ball, not leaning back or to the side. This is how you keep the ball down and with speed.

how come every time i shoot the ball with my toes strait down i stub my toes on the ground and really throw out my foot?that is y i always shoot the ball with the inside of my foot but that gives the ball alot of spin witch can sometimes not go where i want it to go.

"The upper leather on your toes" is correct. He didn't say to toe punch it. If you don't, you'll kick the ground. The ball will hit your instep as it compresses into your foot. This is what gives it the energy to bounce off your foot, making your shot travel faster than your leg can move. The more important part of what mentioned is to be OVER the ball, not leaning back or to the side. This is how you keep the ball down and with speed.

thats a pretty good idea but i think you should keep your left foot closer to the ball thats how you get over it like you mentioned also keep your toe down even after you hit the ball its losing frame which is like hitting a baseball with a bending bat lol good vid though

all you people talking crap about the guy in this video probably make mistakes while shooting, this is very simple but also a technique that is not master by everyone, not even pros like ronaldinho or c.ronaldo. all you younger guys talkin crap probably shoot the ball over the post 99% of the time,this technique can help you improve your shot tremendously. go out and train,you won't get anywhere criticizing this video and saying the guy sucks,cus i can guarantee all you little 7th graders suck.

Well you could be making fun of him but this is actually a very important shot, these are the pure powershots the only thing he's doing wrong is his left foot should be more ahead of the ball. You might be calling him stupid because he just called the "instep" area the toes but still he indicated the propper area :P Most of you kids shoot with your innerside of your foot but that just lacks power. And NO I'm not American and YES I actually know what I'm talking about.
