Great app. This has HEAPS of potential. I reckon if you could fight your friends, like how the old digimon tamogochies used to do it, would be awesome. Also if there was armor and weapon upgrades and the ability to choose where to go on the map.

Maybe if you face bosses, but can only fight them when you are at a certain level. Then if you beat them you get super sweet items.

This concept is fantastic, but I'm hesitant to buy this app. It sounds like it needs more stuff in it to give it more of a game element and be worth the three dollar price tag. A couple more avatar options, visible equipment changes, and simple battles would totally push it over the top into awesomeness. A combination of mybrute and Progress Quest, fuelled by real world task completion. It just needs the battles!!! Update it with battles!

If the only thing to stop people from lying about completing tasks in this game is their moral compass; then you can expect most people to lie consecutively without hesitation. Let's face it; this is the internet we're talking about, it has no moral compass. And if they add something like a time limit so people have to wait so long before they can claim they finished the task; then all you have now is a boring waiting game where everyone always finishes their tasks as soon as the time is up.

@cosmowiz You really want to know? It's called good programing. Believe it or not; a good programmer can actually deter or even prevent a gamer from changing code in the game. And when you're talking about online RPGs it becomes even easier for the programmers to prevent cheating when most of the data is store on their end. Granted that not all hacking can be prevent when done properly, but it is a HUGE stretch to try and compare that to simply lying where the only deterrent is a moral compass.
