Actually the "idea"of child migration was formed by Kingsley Fairbridge (South African) the abuse that British and Irish children received was in the main part from Australians in Australia and also from Catholic priests mainly Irish. Britain did play a shameful part in sending children away but the children once at their destination longed for home because they had been better treated in the UK and Ireland.
