  • why did they still let him fight?? wow

  • めがいたいそう!

  • did he step on it ? --_____--

  • i miss vader

  • actually the eye popping out was not fake. i read a documentary on vader an he tol about how when he put his eye back in it swelled up an broke his orbital bones and all the bones in his nose. also he lost 30% of his vison

  • Wow.

  • I don't mind some stiffness, but knocking a guys eye out? As Bret Hart said "the art of professional wrestling is making it look like your hurting eachother when your not"

  • @AmericanWolves13 and to elaborate on that point I've heard Jim Cornette say something to the effect of (mostly in regards to "deathmatch" style wrestling) "it used to be that they wouldn't hurt each other and people thought it was real, now they're out there just beating the shit out of each other and everyone knows it's fake"

  • @ayobmedz Oh yeah that was a great quote. "We've taken an industry in which two grown men pretend to hurt eachother, and everybody believes they're hurting eachother and people paid to see it, to where they are really hurting eachother and no one believes they are, and less people pay to see it .Who's the marks!? WHO"S THE MARKS!?"

  • @AmericanWolves13 Haha man, I'm glad you knew what I was talking about, because the actual quote is much better than my summary of it. Everything sounds that much more eloquent coming from Corny of course.

  • @ayobmedz Of course, and I didn't even do it justice. Plus his way of yelling "who's the marks" needs to be seen to be appreciated.

  • FAKE AND GAY BRO UMAD

  • @MrGunnnah n ur wrong

  • @MrGunnnah my older brother told me that all wrestling is fake and gay, except for ecw which was actually real and heterosexual.

also a while back the real undertaker died and they just put a new guy in his costume, my friend whose uncle works for the wwf told me :o

  • @ayobmedz You needed your brother to tell you it's a work? lol

  • @MrGunnnah faggot

  • Freakin' dude kept going, that's INSANE! I would have ran out of there QUICK!

  • i wouldve really started kicking Stan's ass afterwards

  • @SilentRageSlide and he would've squashed you like the little insect you are. you flat willie.

  • @niteholler was that really necessary? A reply just too lower my self esteem. I meant if i were Vader anyway. Vader could take em'

  • @SilentRageSlide you are not Vader you are Flat Willie.

  • @SilentRageSlide

Vadar was apparently really hurting guys which was confirmed in several wrestler's shoot interview, and at this time he was still 'Green' and thought that it the more aggressive you are, the further you'll get. Stan was known to be a worker meaning he didn't really hurt you, but made it look real.

In this case, it was a case of 'ok, let's see how he does w someone his own size' to slow him down. I'm sure the eye thing wasn't meant to be, but part of a rough exchange.

  • Before Vader entered the ring, Hansen accidentally broke Vader's nose with his rope. The two exchanged very stiff punches, one of which popped Vader's right eye out of its socket, although it was contained by the swelling in his eyelid. Vader took the time to take off his mask and push the eye back in the socket before finishing the match as planned. Vader's success garnered the attention of WCW. Vader subsequently required four surgeries to repair the damage to his face.

  • when his eye fall out/???

  • fake n gay

  • @MrGunnnah

lmfao, yes because you can fake an eye injury like at 04:21

  • @MrGunnnah ya cause they poping out of the socket is fake oooook

  • I don't know if this is tough or dumb. I wouldn't take headlock let alone backdrops with my eyes hanging out.

  • No I lie, I don't think the match is quite as stiff compared to the first two minutes!

  • The eye pop punch is at 2:12 followed by a 60 second crowbar while Vader tries to work out wtf is going on, and neither Stan or the ref give a toss.

  • *eye pops out* "Let me put that sucker back in, let's rock!"

  • Holy shit Vader. I can think of only two or three people absolute tops who were even slightly more badass than you(before you yell at me, think Bryan Danielson- yes I will call him that) and they didn't have to worry about a heart attack mid-ring xD

  • At What time does it hhappen?

  • If that's not a "HOLY SHIT" moment then I don't know what is!!

  • Damn hes tough. I would have been like dude wait a second my eye popped out! Pineapples!

  • Is AJPW actually scripted?

  • @Gilln1nick Yes, it's still Pro-Wrestling, but the japanese fans treat it as a legitimate sport like boxing, MMA and so on. It's generally stiff and most athletes have a legit fighting sport background. That's the reason why you see so many comments on Purovids like "Randy Orton/Miz/whatever wouldn't survive 3 minutes over there"

Which is probably untrue as most Puroresou wrestlers are very good wrestlers who can wrestle stiff without breaking bones or something

  • @Lyrix4D Wait, so the promos are scripted, but the fighting is legitimate? I wonder what would happen if they had taken someone like John Cena to AJPW and then back to WWE. That would probably make him a fan favorite. By the way is NJPW similar?

  • @Gilln1nick No no^^ You got me wrong, the wrestling is "staged" of course they still "take" the move otherwise they would kill each other. It's just the thing called Sport Entertainment in the states, is treated as a legitimate sport even though it isn't because they are though and often chop the hell out of each other. It's definetly a hard job to wrestle over there.

  • @Lyrix4D Oh, OK. Thanks. I completely misunderstood that. How did Vader end up on a show like WCW?

  • @Gilln1nick Well, I didn't watched wrestling back then but i assume he was popular and WCW had to outsmart WWE (or WWF) so they hired someone who's spectectular.

  • Is the referee Judge Lance Ito from the OJ Simpson trial?

  • There was more action in the first 3 minutes oof this match then any main event in WWE or TNA these days...........back when it wasn't do three moves pose......let the opponent do the same.......knock each other down and lay there, use a foreign object pin!

  • vader was the innovater of those fingerless mma gloves

  • THAT FREAKING GUY HAD HIS EYE POPPING OUT HAHAHA !! SHIT !!! I WANNA BE A WRESTLER !!

  • was this real?

  • @lebron6548 No, the eye was actually a local wrestler from development called up for the day.

  • @Oscy ohhhhhhhhhhhh thnks

  • @Oscy the idiot believed you xD

  • @Oscy You are the king of sarcastic humor, new friend.

  • @furiousajp I should get paid for this, seems like all my comments get top-rated. It's a curse.

    Ok, it's not a curse.

  • @lebron6548 what a stupid question look at his fucking eye

  • @vanilla8282 dude its a joke so fuck off

  • This match would have ended if this was WWE.

  • Those are some stiff shots starting around the 2:00 min, mark!!

  • Pretty stff shots.

  • man vader is the man wrestling with his eye popped out shit no wonder in wcw he was the monster heel

  • best match ever.

  • stupid slow internet man, can some one tell exactly when his eye popped out?

  • @coates27 around the 3:02 mark, you see Vader actually checking on his eye. Go to 3:46 as well

  • "martial arts are only useful if the other guy fights fair." not sure who said it but it's pretty true.

  • @MrBizzmarky76 not really.

  • According to Wikipedia, Hansen also accidentally broke Vader's nose with his rope before they entered the ring. That doesn't appear to be in this Youtube video. Then he popped his eye out with punches. Talk about stiff working! Holy crap. All I can say is that you had better be put together with some strong glue if you were wrestling in Japan in those days. There's also a match on here where Great Sasuke cracks his skull, for the second time.

  • dats bein professional i woulda got myself counted out

  • omg wrestling is so shitty, just think that you can kill them just by smashing their troath in one second

  • @XZanzaX97 Are you blinder than Stan Hansen or what? "Just think"? You mean "dream about it". Name one wrestler, and im sure he could kill you in one second.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI mmmhh no i'm not blind i have 14 and 13.5/10 on my eyes and do you want names? "big show" "undertaker" "kane" and other well THEY DON'T HAVE FUCKING MUSCLES ON THEIR TROATH , ON THEIR BALLS , ON THEIR EYES AND ON THEIR KNEES! before saying that they could kill me in 1 second learn real martial arts such as karate , self defence like krav maga and you will surely learn that BIG = SLOW .

the only people that can kill me are serious people not these stupids

  • @XZanzaX97 I honestly doubt you can reach Undertakers throat.Karate wont do ya dung. Krav Maga is just a fancy name for street fighting. Anyone can do that.

  • @SuperDUDERIKI yes i can't reach undertakers troath i'm 1.75 he is maybe 1.95 but honestly i doubt that i can't reach his balls, like i doubt that krav maga is just a fancy name for street fighting... krav maga is used by israeli's militia with kapap that is a "more aggressive version"... just another thing , do you think that under taker is a beast?triple H and Cena too? well they are ACTORS just ACTORS and they are good for what they do but believe me real figthing it's totally different

  • @XZanzaX97 I do believe you ARE blinder than Stan Hansen.Where do you see Cena and Triple H in this vid? Huh? I honestly doubt you have ever seen any pro wrestling except the WWE,so i really cant blame your stupidity.

  • @XZanzaX97 i just see 2 assholes that don't know how to block punches ... it's like if i run in a metalhead party and i say justin bieber is lovelyyyy (i will be punched in face several times for sure)

  • @XZanzaX97 martial arts will help you in a fight, sure... but i promice you, if stan hansen hit you, you'd go down in one shot

  • @grimbold1 ye that's true , a punch from a 135kg beast it's strong but first he has to hit me , that's the point xD the only thing i want all to know it's that wrestling it's just acting

  • @XZanzaX97 Yes...but the majority of professional wrestling now a days is scripted..and workers (especially in larger companies) do not (for the most part) actually hit each other that hard.

  • Classic big man match! Ah those were the good ol' days

  • You know it's getting heavy when Stan Hansen begins to look concerned.

  • @bertyUK Good point!

  • Two genuinely tough guys from the days when real men still existed.

Now wresters rely on their tattoo covered arms and chests. Terrifying.

  • I'll always remember Vader for his appearances in Boy meets World.

  • it was at 666 comments so i had to comment...

  • huh. They are really just trading stiff shots.

  • i dont understand where his eye got injured.. all i see is them on the ground, he shoves hansen, takes his mask off then his eye is almost out.. some1 reply with a time i can click and see it b/c i have no idea

  • @lukeulriksen It's right at 2:20 - listen closely to the left jab Hansen hits Vader with - you can hear a sound which might be Vader's orbital bone breaking, and Vader leans into Hansen where they lock up before going to the ground. Hansen aggravated the injury with a thumb to Vader's eye while they were wrestling there in the corner, pushing it out of the socket and held in only by Vaders' eyelid.

  • kane let himself go

  • wow!!!!!!!!!! vader and stan hansen are awsome this is the type of wrestling i would love to see today, soap opera's are o.k but we need more straight up wrestling like this, well actually i could do without the soap opera's in wrestling!!

  • How did his eye not fall out?

  • Was vader always that fat or did he lose weight in wwe/f? when was there?

  • @gans626 Vader was always a big guy. This video was actually in 1990, before Vader went to WCW. He didn't go to the WWF until 1996, and was only there till 1998 (he was criminally underused in WWF).

  • @gans626 he was ordered to lose weight in wwf, for that matter, so was the big show.

  • You can tell Hansen is one of those naturally strong men...who can seriously kick some ass when needed

  • Hansen would have stomped his ass

  • Vader was just a big bully in the ring. Hansen was one of the few guys that Vader couldn't push around, and he proved it.

  • Wrestling would not be the same if every match were as stiff as this one, but man, is good to see things like this from time to time...

  • eye almosts pops out and Vader still keeps on wrestling.Wow,tough dude.Vader, you are the man.WWE never got to see the type of matches Vader was capable of giving like he did in Japan and even WCW.

  • @wannabenj they said his eye actually did pop out but i guess they took it out with editing. Vader was being interviewed about it and they said his eye popped out and he put it back in.

  • @wannabenj This is because Vince was never interested in the real art of the sport itself...he only cared about steroid cookie cutter non talented idiots for profit. Japan still keeps wrestling alive!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Really good match and nice quality video. These two are definitley experts. Mad props to both of them.

  • Stan looks like and wrestles like JBL

  • @capucchan8 JBL -wishes- he could be like Stan.

  • @DevilTakeMe Agreed.

  • Has anyone ever got one of those strange chat requests pop up while you're on youtube. For some strange reason I doubt the girl that is pictured wants to talk to someone watching wrestlers getting eyes popped out of their heads.

  • I woulda just layed down...screw that hahaha

  • 3 47 is when it pops out

  • 4:05

  • can someone post what time is eye pops out

  • What vid and time is it when his eye comes out

  • nerchiativo

  • OK REAL STORY

    read on wcw.com

    yes it exists ^

Vader was pissed cuz hasen whipped him, hansen instinctivly jabbed his thumb in vaders eye twice. Vader put the eye back in, and it swelled and stayed.

  • @9NotAVEVO6 To add to that, the way Vader tells the story is that Stan broke his nose before they got into the ring - Hansen (who's blind) was swinging his bullrope around and it hit Vader in the face, breaking his nose, and that's what caused Vader to start a bit extra stiff. Hansen swears he didn't know he had done so, and retaliated, and the rest is history.

  • @cactusj00: Hansen himself said he had trouble seeing without his glasses. So he worked "stiff" to make sure he was actually doing it right. Vader talked about the bit about Hansen hitting him before they went to the ring. That's why he knocked his hat off, and then Hansen gets pissed. Vader also said he didn't think Stan intended to injure him. He said Stan is left handed, and when you punch someone left handed, you lead with the thumb.

  • Hansen & Vader, two of "THE STIFFEST" workers in the industry. It's rather interesting, that when John Layfield aka Bradshaw first came in to the WWF/E he modeled himself after Stan Hansen. And i still feel, in my opinion at least, that Bradshaw had the sickest clothesline i've ever seen, in my 25yrs of watching the sport.

  • that was really disgusting.. his eyes popped out and he returned it back in and what more incredible, he still managed to wrestle for 10 minutes .. total mind freak! vader was one of the best..

  • was this an actual eye popout match or is that just a figure of speech?

  • @malachiburton1234 Vader's eye pops out of the socket. the only thing holding his eye in his face is his eyelid. He actually stops fighting to push his eye back into the socket. You can hear his eye being knocked out at 2:20 before they start with a couple rest holds so Vader can recover.

  • @malachiburton1234

Why don't you try watching the match and see, rather than just posting a lazy ass comment?

  • @iTubeYourDadsMinge i fucking watched it i couldnt really tell u must really be a lazy ass getting smart to others over youtube lol pathetic prick

  • Can you imagine how he felt for the rest of that match? That injury would have made the smallest jar rattle in your head with the nerves on fire as I'm sure they would be and he was there getting suplexed and hit in the head. He's definitely a tough guy. Would suck to have to fight him lol.

  • At what time on here does Vadar get his eye poked out ? One second he looks fine. The next clear shot 15 seconds later his eye is shut and red. But I don't see when it happened.

  • @AnimalLover1977 Right at 2:20 - they're in the corner and Hansen hits Vader with a left jab. You can actually hear it. That's when Vader lowers his head and then wrestles Hansen to the ground while he tries to recover.

  • @DevilTakeMe Ok I see it now, thanks.

  • Pushes it back in like a BOSS!

  • AWW FUCK!

  • They need to make a new kind of wrestling match. Kind of like a first blood match, but instead of who can make their opponent bleed first, the winner should be the wrestler who pops out their opponents eye that wins LOL

  • ARGH shit

  • uh...why do they call it an "eye pop out" match? please tell me it's not what i'm thinking.

  • @theiNZANEone1 It's not a stipulation of the match, it's just called that because Vader's eye was popped out of it's socket. Hansen is legally blind, and he makes up for it by being super-stiff. He caught Vader in the right eye. I believe you can even hear a little 'pop' sound as Hansen hits Vader in the right eye at 2:20. At about 3:45, Vader has to back off and pull his mask off to pop his eye back in.

  • @DevilTakeMe What does super-stiff mean? That he is pretty good even without his eyesight? But why did he wrestle or wrestled when he was blind?

  • @jifanector1 Well, Hansen is legally blind without his glasses, so he could not see very well in the ring. He compensated by working extra stiff, and really swinging with everything he had for shapes that happened to look like his opponent. There's a couple videos of him running over ring attendants by accident because he could not see them in the lowered lighting.

Why? Mostly so that he would look believable in the ring.

  • @DevilTakeMe Okay. Wow, lots of respect to him. Wrestling when you're blind has to be very difficult but he made it look pretty good I think.

  • @theiNZANEone1 his eye camae out

  • ಠ_ಠ

  • Anybody know who was in that tag team match when Stan Hansen LOSES it? I think the guy might have licked him for real off a dropkick and he just starts beating the hell out of the guy for real. His partners trying to pull him away, he's hittiting security guards and throwing anything he can get his hands on.

  • @usbads1 Right, he left to go fight real fights, which is why he left and tried out for the NFL. Yes, I'm sure a desire for legitimate competition played a role, but he's said many times a major reason he left, and why he won't go back to wrestling, is because the physical toll and the schedule are far too demanding.

The "PG" product didn't come until years after he left. Get a clue before you speak, jackass.

  • @NotIkeman Lesnar also wanted control of what he was doing. He apparently wasn't committed enough to the wrestling buisness.

  • entertainment for frustrated children that can't bring themselves to deal with the real violence their society is implementing on the poorer parts of the(ir) world

  • What the hell happened? One minute, he's stretching Hansen, the next second he's a MASH unit.

  • It'd be cool to wrestle either of these guys and test yourself because both of them would beat the crap out of you.

  • Leon White is a nutjob. Remember when he ripped off Cactus Jack's ear?

  • @flatulatingmarmoset no he didn't

  • @IDante1Savage Yes he did, in Germany. They ended up throwing the ear away because Foley didn't know how to tell them to save it.

  • @flatulatingmarmoset foley caught his own ear in the ropes then ripped his own ear off pulling his head out of the ropes, vader didn't do it.

  • @flatulatingmarmoset He actually blames 2 Cold Scorpio because he was the guy that had the ropes tightened. Cactus was planning on doing his 'hangman' move, but with the ropes tightened he couldnt get his head out properly. He always said that hes tore his ear a few times doing the move, but because of the tightened ropes it tore clean off.

  • @SamoIsKing This is correct. Cactus credits Vader for it in the world of gimmick, but it was Scorpio's (and the ring crew's) fault. You can read all this in Foley's book: "Have A Nice Day."

  • @SamoIsKing He actually doesn't blame 2 Cold at any point. More the ring crew for not informing him the ropes were tightened.

  • amazing he kept going!

  • whew what heart... what dedication... thats pure entertainment...

  • people who compare the ufc to pro wrestling are just children. dont mind them.

  • That was amazing. Was the eye poke just accidental or what?

  • At 2:22 i noticed that stan threw a punch and hit vadar that is when i noticed the incident.

  • what was the actual injury to vaders eye?

  • @rogertayloRRR As far as I remember, Hansen broke Vader's orbital bone with a punch and the only thing that kept his eye inside was the eyelid.

  • This seems atleast half fake wrestling.

  • Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, David Otunga could handle Stan Hansen in a stiff fight. Also, Wade Barrett or Mason Ryan from new Nexus could put up a fight with Vader in Japan. Barrett has the height advantage over the Mastadon and therefore he can overcome the hard hitting punches.

  • @21richkid

You actually believe that Punk from I love New York (David Otunga) could take Stan Hansen in a fight?

  • Hansen was known as a stiff worker (he said it was because his eyesight wasn't that good) and this proves it.

  • @jpar73

Hansen was mad that vader started the match a little stiff (after his nose was broken). He used his thumb to pop the eye out. It had nothing to do with being blind. The guy seems like an ass in the ring.

  • wow does it get any more stupid? both of them cant fight for shit and its super fake.. haha. id like to see them in a UFC cage

  • @LilHalfHaitiBoy Vader took the time to take off his mask and push the eye back in the socket before finishing the match as planned. In UFC and eye out of it socket would mean TKO instantly, if I'm not mistaken. This guy kept fighting, that deserves a bit of respect.

  • @LilHalfHaitiBoy So would I, so they could pwn any loser from UFC. Oh and congrats for finally learning wrestling is fake noob. But we love it anyways and this was NOT fake. Now obey and go play epic fail elsewhere.

  • awsom match......

  • @3:54DAMN!

  • @3:46 "HOT CHOC-O-LAT!!!"

  • 漢森是我永遠的偶像

  • THIS IS BLOODY GOOD FOOTAGE FOR ALL THOSE YEARS AGO!!

  • two razing bulls

  • When are you fucking morons going to realize it's not fake and that it's actually SCRIPTED! It doesn't take too many fucking brain cells in your little fucking head to realize there's a difference too.

  • @alanwalka I've already grown up. I'm just shocked you don't realize how retarded YOU are by wasting your time telling everybody that pro wrestling is fake when everybody already knows it's fake. It was obvious something was really up with his eye though.
