  • It's actually Dea Artio.

  • You guys mentioned every band in America except Lurker Of Chalice. Son, I am disappoint. This and LoC are the two of the best bands from USA.

  • this song is one of my favorites forever. it grasps emotion to the core-a sound of hope lingers on-the spirit inside me beckons to be released and dissolve into a vast sea. everytime i hear this i think of a knight who lays his sword down after a wounded battle and as he takes his helmet off he looks to the sky before he knows its time to lay his bones to rest. we need more music like this in our lives. pure beauty in all its glory

  • "While the second track off Wolves in the Throne Room's album 'Two Hunters', Behold the Vastness and Sorrow, is certainly a masterpiece, it overshadows the first track, Dia Artio. This is, in my opinion, superior, an epic blend of guitar, keyboard and drums that creates the perfect ambience."

what? so first you say that the second track overshadows this, and then you say that this is better...doesnt make sense.

  • @thychaos this is the second track, the first is Behold the Vastness and Sorrow.

  • @Blashyrkh1993

    No it isn't.

  • This is so beautiful..

  • This is space music XD

  • I'm so excited to see them

  • This is BLISS

  • I don't mean to insult or anything, but it seems like the "ambience" in their music is a build up to the main song? The length of all that bothers me but overall, I like where this is going.

  • other good band is darkspace

i think guys will like it

  • @drithrasher69 Darkspace is awesome \m/

  • Comment removed

  • Holy shit, why didn't anybody tell me this band was so fucking awesome?!

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck this is awesome :D

  • Give me more black metal bands that are like this ambient bliss!!!

  • @hydra check out drudkh. theyre from ukraine. very similiar. especially blood in our wells album

  • @hydra check out Blood of the Black Owl. Not as metal, but great for walking through woods drunk. Dark stuff

  • This band and leviathan are the only real hope of an american black metal scene.

  • @ih8makinusernames Xasthur and Imperial Crystalline Entombment are american, and great black metal bands

  • I love abm, it helps you channel through your emotions in the sweet solitudes of reality - transcending the individual into a state of self-consolation.

This song is a beautiful piece of art.

  • they call it "purifying black metal"

and i believe it. as far as WITTR are concerned, the next

generation of black metal is in good hands...

  • its like the Cars "Drive" set to ambient BM lol

  • AWESOME! Just fucking awesome!!!

  • This is a very simple atmospheric piece, but it sounds so less...cheesy than so many Black Metal atmospheric pieces/interludes etc.

  • so beautiful

  • SUPREME

  • Wolves In The Throne Room have a very unique style, very dark but mystical.

  • Excelente Grupo , gran ambientacion y musica elegante y elaborada son geniales .

  • I am looking out of my office window, the first snowflakes are falling, everything is gray and white-this track fits so incredibly well...

  • Yes yes. I drove home listening to this in the snow last night

  • Turn The Volume Up And Close Your Eyes And Enjoy The Most Beautiful Atmosphere.

  • this is so beautiful... it's the first song i hear from them, but i absolutely liked it...

  • bellissima perfetta

  • A lot of people that don't like ambient black metal probably are mislead. I think this music isn't designed to be epic, it is intended to be more progressive and experimental by traveling through different emotions and movements while actually bringing you into the music. Different than epic music, but that's only my opinion.

  • Yes, you're right. This song actually is intented to present a barren landscape, the dying earth if you may, where the human race (depicted as a dark horseman in the album) roams alone. That's why there's an overall sad, but not whiny feeling about the End that can be confused with epic.

I'd say it's a majestic funeral song about Nature, just the way it should be.

  • all you guys are so full of bullshit. its just the music they wanted to make., nothing about no dying earth or human race shite, just music.

black metal would have a better name if a bunch of emo poofs like you guys didnt wrap it in emo poetry bullshit

  • @captdel123

No, emo is just another trend which came out of your kind. You know, those stupid opressed teenies who always thought that music is all about gay vocals or (in your case) insanely fast blastbeats.

Go back to your cave, black metal is too intellectual for you.

  • i just had a big reply to your message, and thought fuck it, you're obviously one of these wankers who thinks there special cause they listen to a non-mainstream genre. so fuck you, and fuck all the shit meanings you put on songs.

    FUCK YOU

  • Whatever...

  • @captdel123 Fuck you stupid limey

  • limey?

  • @captdel123 you are as bad as you say these people are, your just a hypocrite though. Who the fuck birthed you?

  • birthed me? wtf?

  • @captdel123 and?

  • how am i as bad, all i was saying is music is music, theres no need to put some poetic meaning on a song, its just a song. the world is full of wankers trying to put meaning on EVERYTHING. its just music... no more no less

  • Music is a form of art, art is supposed to have meaning behind it. It's not supposed to be something you just make and put absolutely no thought into it. A song with a deeper meaning is a good song.

  • @captdel123

FYI that was not my interpretation, but this album's concept. But I guess you could find that out if you weren's such a dick, ready to bash people that even have the same taste with you.

  • If music had no meaning, it has no point... you're not making notes just because they sound cool, in Black Metal.

  • @captdel123

music without meaning? how can you listen to _any_ music and get nothing out of it aside from a string of notes and rhythms?

take your meaningless bullshit claims away from a beautiful and poetic musical style and spam your theories at people who listen to "music" with no meaning.

i would argue that sounds are not music withOUT meaning. it is the meaning the artist ascribes it that produces the beautiful experience.

not everyone can be vapid and live in a differential existence...

  • @HitByTime

i didnt realize vocals could be gay

    as for this song

try listening to it without thinking, that'll help :)

  • Whatever...

  • @HitByTime man anyone who disagrees with you needs to read/watch some WITTR interviews. those guys put SERIOUS thought into their stuff.

i think you are pretty spot-on in your interpretation...

  • @wayfechylde3 Thank you! xD

  • 2:46 gives me goosebumps. Such a great song.

  • This is so fucking awesome.

  • Epic.

  • i agree. very cool... but i really don't like much black metal, so....

  • something i would expect to hear playing fable or something :).

  • wow you just kind of ruined this song for me.

  • Beautiful.

  • The reason in have a black metal band in my cd collection again. Saw them with ISIS. Awesome!

  • Faaaaaaaaar out.

  • One of the best Black Metal band ever

  • Really ambiant...I love this.

This band is HOPE of black metal.

  • Splendiferously beautiful. And quite epic.

  • Magical

  • Amaaaazing.
