omg i have the exact same tablet 7764CTO i have the same problem, only the bottom third of the screen and when i press on the bezel in certain places it stops. i've had y tablet since 2007 though and it just started doing this a couple weeks ago. by chance do you remember what they did to get it fixed? did they tell you? my warranty has obviously run out...
@x4yuf4nx The screen was bad and had to be replaced. It was not a connector or a ribbon cable as I had hoped. Fortunately, it was replaced under warranty, and cost me nothing other than the 2 weeks without the tablet. When the one-year warranty approached expiration, I was happy to extend it another 2 years.
i had the exact same problem with my R61 and thats about 2 monts ago and i got it fixed and now my whole screen go's wite when i start it up (I wil never buy a thinkpad again)

I just contacted Lenovo Support and paid for an additional 2 years.

Yes, it had a month left to go before the 1 year warranty expired. It was out of service for a week. I quickly extended my warranty another 2 years.
