every night my mom and i would whistle to him, eventually he picked it up, cockateils can learn songs gingles for about the first 5 years im told, but can still pick up random noises, mine learned to do a cat call last year and hes 12

the head rub? i think its because they have new feathers growing and they itch alot. as for the song males are usually more vocal but females can learn too. thanks for watching!

i just got a pearl cockateil 3 days ago and they are the coolest lil things!!!!! he just sits on my shoulder all day. i get home from school, then he just hangs out on my shoulder when im doing my homework and stuff.i thought he would be kinda scared the first couple days, but he just got right on my finger!!!!

Hand reared mostly means the bird/animal was raised by experienced and licensed breeders like mine. They're hand fed and basically treated like royalty, nothing like you see in the pet store. It's worth it because they're usually hard-pressed to become ill.

awwww sweet bird! Mine wont let me touch his head with my hand or fingers. He will only let me pet him with my face like my nose lips or cheeks. How did you teach him how to sing like that? I love it!!!!
