Hi RegalPCS, Yes, Patti did overdub herself on this recording - as with all of her signature style multi-track recordings. This is Mercury Records 1962 master #72044.
This single is also issued on Mercury Records 12' album SR-60819 "The Siging Rage" from 1963. I'm glad I could shed some light on this wonderful song for you. Best, Kevin
This is the first time I have heard this song. It really grows on me each time I replay it. I am not a fan of the era, but this is so good in anybody's language!
A little more info on this recording. Although it never made Billboard or Cashbox Top 100, a rival publication "Record World" listed it at No. 83. One of the very best which should have been a big hit!!!! I would like it on CD along with another of her best "You'll Answer to Me"...
Thank You!....One of my most favorite Patti Page songs!
Sure would love to hear "A City Girl Stole My Country Boy" from that same stereo L.P.!

Totally awesome Patti Page from the early 60s. Remember hearing it late night on WBZ Boston!!! 50,000 watts of clear channel music.
