The single that flopped- yet probably their best. Raw, edgy, unique- total Duran. Was so unlike anything around at that time, and in fact theres never been anything like it since. Combines rock, punk and electronic in a frantic style- brilliant.

I was a teenager when this came out but I seem to have missed it untill they used a small bit on Ashes to Ashes (show set in 81), the first one, its prob one of their best but never gets any radio air play. thanks for posting

the only difference between this and the 1983 video compilation version is the shots of Simon walking down the staircase and beyond edited into the beginning and the graphics over the end shot.

this is the exact same version as the 1983 video version (including the cheesy bits), as it appears on the video collection by EMI.

Yeah, you're completely right!! You can see Andy is having fun, he gives this song the edge with his nearly punkrockish-Guitar! This song is great - i still don't know why it flopped in 1981 between "Planet earth" and "Girls on film". Sadly there is no official 12"-Remix (night version) around... But this is a killer. Live it blows me away!! For me this song IS Andy Taylor and i kinda love this little wild boy!! Miss him, hope he's doing well these days.
