It's a mixture of Burnout Paradise (open world), Flatout (crash physics) and Trackmania (creating). Looks pretty good and I had Ridge Racer 64, Ridge Racer DS, and 6 and I'm not pissed off since the original RR formula is kinda old.

@Balnazzardi I wouldn't! The only problem I felt is that Bugbear only had experience with FlatOut, so that's to be expected from them. I actually like what Bugbear's doing with RR; the whole thing looks unique. My only gripe comes with the realism factor of a car smashing through a building like it's cardboard, but ever since Split/Second (an awesome game for holy shit factor, by the way) you have to incorporate holy shit quotient moments.

@Digolgrin ye...I quess this game really pisses off most of old RR-fans while players who havent cared about RR before might get interested...but I have to say that after watching actual gameplay video, Bugbear still has lot of work to do, before this can be released.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that no matter how good this game would be, it would still suffer the same kind of fate as Split/Second and Blur did last year...ofcourse much depends on when this game is going to be released.

I mean if there are other bigger games launced around same time as RR: Unbounded next year, it's not gonna look pretty for RR:Unbounded. Probably the best launch time for this game of racing game is summer, when there are usually not big games released.

Its not a ridge racer game its a knockoff and only that. It is in no way better than ridge racer unless you say so your entitled to like whatever type of games you want. You cant really dismerit anyone who enjoyed "Ridge Racer" for what it actually was, for which this game is not. Its bothersome to see niche games change so much original games before 1999 are just dying one after another. I'll take this release as another experimental R:Racing Revolution in hopes for a Return to form.

I had no interest whatsoever for Ridge Racer before, but Im always in for another Burnout/Flatout style of racing game....the only kind of racing games I can play are either those kind of fully arcade/unrealistic games with insane jumps, speed and crashes OR racing games that atleast try to be more realistic, like Forza...not racing games that try to be something between

Of course I don't want this series to become a GT, but there are some things that simply are unacceptable... In this game I think that is the arbitrary damage to the cars, that apart from being unrealistic, will make winner not the fastest one, but the one who touch more cars...
