a blind person would buy a nokia phone with these same features.. and not the iPhone. BTW all the features here are available on a nokia phone for the blind..
is supposed to benifit the blind or something? because if it is im not being funny but the iphone is barely a choice phone for a blidn guy, yeh cool you have this to make phoning easy, but then what? your screwed if you try anything else
It's actually very easy, because my phone has buttons to push. Finding the numbers I need is very easy (like typing on a keyboard). Touch screen makes it more difficult since you can't feel the numbers. But that just furthers my question, since when does making a phone call need to be such a task?! Before touch screen, you could feel the buttons you were pushing. No problem. Now that you can't feel the buttons, they have to invent a complex series of shakes, etc just to make a call.
"A Special Phone" app relies on the iPhone accelerometer as well as on the voice and haptic feedback not on voice activation which is only available on iPhone 3GS.
That's very confusing, but I with that you would put an annotation on the screen at the beginning to show the number you are dialing. I'm sure if you're actually using the app, then you'll get used to it, but watching you drag your finger along the numbers, then pick up and tap and drag again...I was lost as to what number you were selecting...
Blind people do not need touch phones...

EPIC Fail
1. A blind guy would not get an iphone how would he unlock it? (don't say the obvious)
2.What would a blind guy be doing with 4 pages of apps hes fucking blind.
3.Wouldn't voice command work?
4.What does a blind guy walking around and shaking a phone look like. (funny)
5.Lots of other reasons

Close your eyes and try to make a phone call then let us know if it's such a task or no.

So you want blind people to spend 500 pounds jsut to get a number right due to the talking crap?
I can close my eyes and use a normal keypad to dial a number thanks. I'm sure a blind person can do such even better.
