I love AH! But I find this one a bit confusing. When I'm driving through downtown on my way home from work, there are sometimes panhandlers who clearly are in need, so rather than give them $ I give them an apple, granola bar, w/e I have in my bag. Is this sending the universe the wrong message? I try to help where I can. I have a foster child in Africa, too. So confused by the beginning of this one. If my favourite server was in 'need' and I felt they were deserving, I would give more. :S

Give the panhandler a dollar if you have it...or the apple its fine. It doesn't matter what you give, but don't hold back out of judgement. Support the child in Africa thats wonderful. Just send the money with love and not sadness for their lack. Just give and know that everyone has plenty even if they don't recognize it :-)

It's strange because before I was aware of any of this, I did attract people who did tell the same stories as myself, in fact I wanted people who 'lived my life'. When I needed my life to get better, those close people still benefitted by their sad stories. Those sad stories were killing me and my ability to love my daughters. So sometimes if others are unwilling to change their stories, you must seperate to continue to revise yours to be better and better. agree?

This has proved to be absolute truth in my life, I have seen both sides of this as all of us have, my favorite is when I was on my 3rd Big relationship ie 2 marriages, & a 7 yr relationship house dogs etc. crumbling. I surrendered to self & said fine this isn't working I'm going it alone, don't need a partner, then months later I was reunited w my first love I was 14-15 he 17-18 didn't see ea other for 20 yrs then reunited by very unusual circumstances now married for going on 16 yrs wu hu! i had a similar experience. I felt SO desperate to move out of where I was I was nearly panicking to go anywhere!! even live in my car or something. A little while previous to this, however I had written alist of what my new house is to be like... I put it on the wall by the side of my bed facing me as I got up in the morning. I didnt read it EVERY day, but at least once a week.

@Movzhuru Your observation is correct. The reason for this is because MOST of Abe's listeners are women, and women tend to have a more loving heart then men in general. (And this very comment is coming from a male- an alpha male, according to others.) In addition, the message in these teachings is nothing but PURE Wisdom. Who can argue against Wisdom? ♥
