Was Bin Laden successful? He helped bankrupt the economy and brought real fear to America, assuming Bin Laden was behind 9/11. The US had to spend trillions on BS wars and everyone getting on a plane gets groped publicly...I'd say he had some success. Sure, not every 'infidel' is dead...but was that part of his realistic dream?? Probably not.
I can't help but feel that we, (Canadians and Americans) have been victimized more by the response to 911 than the actual event. Retaliation against those responsible is one thing but treating me and everyone's grandmother as if they are potential terrorists is just obscene. In that sense I see the past ten years of reaction to this event as more an act of terrorism than the event that invoked it. Anyone else feel this way?
You are more likely to die in a car accident, cancer, any number of things than terrorism in the US. Don't listen to people like Reuel. He deliberately ignores "blowback" to further his agenda.
