@Jasontwt4ever yes , the smartkey starter is fully keyless-Go compatible. Once you remote start there is a 15 minute timer. If you have keyless-Go then you simply enter the vehicle as normal and press the start button once. this will cause the vehicle control to be passed from the starter to you (as long as the key is present)...
@catch9966 I see, because I saw in your clip that you had to put the key in the ignition before you're able to set off (due to the 15 minutes timer). So with the keyless-Go, once the timer runs out, it won't stall or anything right?
@Jasontwt4ever correct... the car remains secure(and the steering and shifter locked) until you get in with the key on your person and press the start button once... if you do not have the key present, the car will shut down instead when you press the start button. once you press the start button and take over control its the same as if you started normally using the start button..
I love the new E Class, mainly the Station and this Coupé. But i don't get what is this car starter for =p Ok, it's cool, but.. what good is it? Just show off and waste of money in my opinion.
We are Midcity Engineering and we are the manufacturer of the starter system. It is called 'Smartkey Starter' and it is the only product of its kind...
tell me something... whats the use? i mean.. its COOL! but... for what could u possibly use that ?

Is it compatible with MB's Keyless-Go? As in, using the remote start function, can you drive off without having to insert the key in the ignition?

@FoxRS to heat it up when it's too cold out or cool down when it's warm. and for an extra $130 it's a very good addition.

Oh, that's a very good point =) and not that expensive at all! thanks for the reply, yung ;)

yes it took alot of work to make the starter function without losing any of the security features. The dealers are catching on...
Call our offices at 312.421.1114 and we can get you all the info on the starter.
