I have the same problem of rebooting except i am using ipc 10.5.6 x86 mac osx trying to install on hp dv 2000. is it more likely that ideneb 10.5.5 will work...

iDeneb worked for me on this system (Dimension 4550). So you could give it a shot.

yeah sure.....where did u download it from because the torrentz i am using atm to download , gives me 5k/s which seems that it will take weeks ...as I have very fast broadband the normal download speed on other torrentz goes up to 450k/s.

Disable AHCI or ACPI, or just enable it.

AHCI or ACPI didn't work for me. So I tried iDeneb, that worked fine.

ugh dumbass you need to follow the instruction guide on osx86 and use iDeneb v1.3 with and upgraded video card with atleast 256mb NVidia

I already said in the comments it worked fine with iDeneb. And this pc doesn't have the stock video card anymore. So who is here the dumbass?

Doesn't work. ;) The problem is caused by the J-Micron controller. Used iDeneb v1.3, worked great.

Hey i had the same thing i tried two things at the same time so im not sure what did it. I reinstalled using iatkos 5i and changed the kernel and whoopdie doo it worked for me good luck.

Thank you for your reply. I tried iATKOS, Kalaway and iDeneb and it keeps rebooting after it says 'Using ACPI RSDP revision 0 found at 0x000feb90' once the setup is complete. Do you have a solution to this?

You should look for a JMicron IDE DVD ppf patch. It's easy to find one for your installation via Google. Good luck. ;)

I already did that. It does the same thing, just reboots the second I boot from hard drive.

Hmm... I had the same problem with Kalyway. Then I used iDeneb 10.5.5, and it worked perfect. So I don't know what to say. You can always try insanelymac (forum), there are a lot of people who can help you. :)

Het is een Dimension 4550, inderdaad geen ondersteuning voor SSE3. Maar met de Chameleon Patch heb ik de installer al aan de praat gekregen. Inmiddels is Leopard al geinstalleerd, maar moet ik nogmaals de Chameleon patch toepassen voor op de HDD(ben ermee bezig). De videokaart is inmiddels vervangen door een Sapphire X1650 Pro, werkt prima. ;) Zit nu ook 1GB aan geheugen in. Ben er dus bijna, maar ik heb echt 0 ervaring met de Terminal. Dus daar zit ik nog ff vast.

Had het al gecheckt op insanelymac, en erachter gekomen dat m'n CPU geen EFI V8 ondersteund. Ach ja, dan maar verder zoeken. Spreek je later nog wel, waar zijn jouw nieuwe vid's btw? Kan je niet meer skaten ofzo..? ;)
