Maybe you should rethink your statement. The Ottomans were the shame of the earth, the sick man of Europe for a very long time. They were not Islamic. They went to conquer the world but did not even better what they already had. Taxes were extremely high, keeping every as peasants and there was no gain of quality of life from 500 years before the 20th century.
