I'm surprised that Bert didn't tell Ernie it wasn't polite to cut pieces that weren't the same size. That was the problem when Ernie divided the licorice whip.
I recall this exact thing happening in a Flintstones episode. The Rubbles were over for dinner and Wilma brought out 2 pices of cake. A huge piece and a tiny one; Barney snagged the huge one and gulped it down. When Fred informed him that if he had offered him (Fred) the bigger piece, Fred would have declined and taken the smaller one. To which Barney replied, well, "there you have it".
Funny when Bert responds in an annoyed tone of voice: "Oh Ernie, what is it?" at the very beginning when Ernie asks him if he's got a minute. I've had that kind of attitude towards others before when I think they what something from me, and it turns out they actually have something nice to give me!
OMG!! Ernie is sooooo greedy. If I were Bert, I would have grabbed the bigger piece of pie and thrown it in Ernie's face and eaten the other piece. LOL!
Well, he might have. He said 'offer'. To at least have offered Bert the bigger piece would have been the courteous thing for Ernie to do. Bert might not have had any real problems with the small piece; it's just sort of the principle. I can be like that myself sometimes.
Ssssssssssmmmmmmmmmell that apple pie XD

Fred & Barney seemed like a foreshadowing to Bert & Ernie for some reason.
The two duos are so alike!!!!

i love how ernie can do something VERY wrong, admit to it, and think nothing of it at all.
and so spawned Cartman on Southpark

It's hard to argue with that logic.

I think Nostii7 could be refferring to the older version of Sesame Street, which IMO is far superior to the newer version.

Why is Bert complaining? Ernie bought them (I'm assuming), and Ernie's pretty selfish. Bert, be lucky you even got the small piece.
JAGJustAGamer 4 years ago
Maybe he brought them home from a party or something. Like I said, Ernie could have at least offered Bert the big piece, just to be polite.

Where are they? This is not there usual apartment.
mstatz 4 years ago
They are in their apartment..that's their kitchen, although you almost never see it.

Oh well. At least Ernie didn't try to fix it like he did the licorice, pizza, grape juice, and cookies. LOL

Looks like this is on Old School Volume 2. I wondered what they meant by "Ernie and Bert: Slice of Life".
Garrettk41 4 years ago 2
Yeah. That doesn't really seem right.

At the end of this sketch, Ernie would eat his piece of pie as Bert would ask: "What just happened here?". Absolutely hilarious!

Yeah it also had different skit-ending music.

Knowing Ernie, Bert's lucky he got any pie at all.

Wow, a sketch I actually haven't seen. The licorice candy and the grapejuice and pizza sketches are very simmilar but any B&E clip is priceless ^_^

We get to see what Ernie's and Bert's kitchen is like.
culpit 4 years ago 2
If Ernie had said, "Which piece would you like, Bert?" would Bert have been honor-bound to ask for the small piece?
DiAnno13 4 years ago 2

Boy,Ernie sure has alot of junk food habits if you look in past skits.
