  • I wish this number had been better staged in the movie...

    great song

  • i love that he gets an itchy back from all the sand and just goes ahead and gives himself a little scratch so obviously not in the script but it's elvis -- he can do what he wants and it makes it so real and him

  • @stillpunk1419 well, have the movies back then werent scripted, they would just go along with some basic lines and act natural. there nothing but thick novel scripts now

  • great rock ditti

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • kann nur eins sagen, DANKE

  • this song makes me cry -- it takes me back to the 60's and i was a kid but i LOVED elvis - my mom was a huge fan -- this is one of my fave elvis movies -- his films always make me smile and feel so awesome -- love you big E xxxx

  • @stillpunk1419 The 60's were the best time ever!Elvis is still the best!

  • Singing it to Tatum O'neals mom.

  • @TheLegendaryTim - really? Tatum's mother?? oh that is so cool and what a great piece of trivia!! thanks for that info mr. legendary

  • Elvis you will always live on in our hearts!.. You are a gift from God! thank you for sharing a beautiful video! Happy New Year to all! Sandri

  • I love that song so much

  • 22 people didnt follow that dream

  • You see the dislike bar? (red line) It's like a ninja coz u cant see it!!!

  • Ich mag alles von Ihm

  • Elvis was surely the King of rock no doubt! :D he was the best singer. he was a true legend. he may be gone but he's not forget ♥ and he was a beautiful man :) he looked super gorgeous in this movie. i think he was always gorgeous with the hair and his eyes and that smile :3

  • The dislike bar is not even red. Even YT knows never to show red on The King's videos.

  • Best singer ever.

  • great song love you elvis x

  • Great video- Elvis still rules!

  • As the great Dave Marsh wrote, "Follow that Dream" should have been his encapsulation of the American Dream" It is in so many ways, his story, he was as Springsteen put it, "as great as the whole country itself to me, its symbol" Amen!

  • i love you so much

    jessica blampied

  • the Beatles were a fad Elvis is a legend he is still popular long after the Beatles faded away.no one on earth can come close to him never.

  • @ron2ocean Beautifully put! He was and always will be the King of Rock n Roll.....

  • @ron2ocean Ron both the King and the Beatles live on in thier music man

  • @ron2ocean really? aw i think The Beatles are legends. Elvis was the best solo artist. The Beatles were the best band. but everyone has their opinions...

  • @rissygirly22 I am an Elvis fan, but I can agree to this statement. I did like the first couple of Beatles albums

  • marry me

  • You know what i think people need to wake up

  • @hoss73ford1 exactly! I don't think people my age (teenagers)actualy reolise the impact this man had on the worls of music , without elvis tennagers would still be classed as adults and they would have no independace

  • @LoisFayeR I wish more teens thought like you. I'm certainly no granny with fond memories of having had Elvis girl fever back at a time no one remembers, but even my generation thinks of him as nothing more than the guy in a white jumpsuit and big sideburns who died, somewhat young and overweight, from prescription drugs. The music and legacy he left behind is just taken for granted.

  • @cazonetta the low level of apprecation for elvis shocks me so badly , he changed the face of music and people in my class dont even notice i mean one boy said all elvis did waas sing about dogs and wear blue shoes . people these days seriously have no clue .

  • One of the shortest songs ever. Great though.

  • The King lives on!!!!

  • Чудо!!!! Мистер ПОЗИТИВ!!!! СПАСИБО!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song...but Elvis was the lamest mimer in the movies....

  • 21 people didnt follow that dream -___-

  • i love this song

  • Springsteen's favorite song of Elvis

  • @qqsomething

Good to hear! I used to sing along with this one countless times -it always made me feel exhilarated like no other song could!

  • this brings tears to my eyes because it is so insparational and what happened to him was heart breaking :( much love ep xxxx

  • @LoisFayeR Youre so right Lois. These are wonderful memories and to think what happened 15 years later to him is unfathomable

  • Another one with KING written all over it!

  • Whenever a movie of his was released, I told everyone I could, "It's an Elvis movie!" and I would be in the theaters, seeing his films, as many times as I could. I saw him at the Inglewood Forum, with the tickets at 10.00 each. When he died, it created an incredible void in the entertainment industry and in his fans. He will never be replaced, no matter who comes along.

  • This song is very catchy, love it, and I also love ELVIS! = )

  • Elvis did'nt follow the dream he lived the dream pity it ended at such a relatively young age thanks EP.

  • @creswellcraggs quality of life is more important than the quantity of life.

  • @creswellcraggs i heard that his dream was to do a concert tour overseas

  • @kwestcrns I think he was planning to do one later that same year ;n;

  • Aliens will land here in 1 million years after we're gone and find 2 things, a Ford Mustang, and a gold Elvis Cd......

  • @EricVonZipper2 no a camaro

  • Yes, it is from one of Elvis' better movies. Follow That Dream. It is certainly worth watching!

  • Is this clip from a movie? If so, PLEASE tell me what movie it is!

  • @RedMansonxx The clip has the same name as the movie "follow that dream"

  • These women must have been payed royally not to fall all over Elvis. I'd never make it, I'd go home broke!! He's too hot!

  • it's like ice cream in my ears

  • @OfficerCocknuckles could not have said it better.....Amen

  • @OfficerCocknuckles Hhahah. Thats funny...!

  • I made (when I was about 12 years old) a taperecording of the whole movie, and I listened to the tape every evening, before I got to sleep. After a while I knew every word of the spoken words in the movie, Follow That dream, and this song was my favo.... I am 44 now, and still I say...ELVIS FOREVER, still get goosebumbs when I see him and hear his warm voice. Greetings from Holland.

  • @Gerdina848 I did the same thing & still have it.I listen to it today in the car from Del Rio to Houston off & on.

going to put it on cd as soon as I get home. Greetings to you, from Texas I miss Elvis

  • ELVIS WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST LOOKING SINGER NO ONE WILL EVER BE BETTER

  • This was the time period when Elvis' weight started an upward spiral.

  • @sunrecords56 I just checked this film was made 1962, the weight i believe didn't pile on till 1975/76. Elvis was and is one of my favourite singers and actor's of all time :)

  • follow that dream theres 1 for all of us

  • @palmer8112 That's is what i meant his life was good until his mom died :(

  • Apparently he didn't see what he had.And he was human, and as every human being,he too had issues, problems. One of his friends said that when Priscilla left him,he was never the same.None of us will ever know, except save for his family, and certain friends. What we say is merely speculation.

  • I really love that time!

I mean, whats not to love?

Singers could sing, dancers could dance, women were women and men were men- and rode their bikes without a helmet

Nowadays everything is about how hard men can fuck somebody, how much money they have or how much dope they take, it sickens me to listen to people completely without talent calling themselves singers, and having to make softporn musicvideos to cover up their lack of talent

Elvis, Conway Twitty, Roger Miller etc. Give them back!

  • She's soo into him !! I don't blame her ;-)

  • How could Elvis not have a happy life he loved singing he had good friends a little girl a loving mom and dad i think that he had the best life that any star can have. Look at the stars to day they have a very bad life. I say he had a very good life but that's just me.

  • @prettybabyface105 Then please read the books "Last Train to Memphis" and "Careless Love" by Peter Guralnick and you'll understand why his life wasn't always that happy...

  • when i first watcheed this i fell in LLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEEEEE with this song and then i replayed lik about 20 times:) and also why does Elvis have to b so sexy!!!!!Elvis is delicsious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

  • brilliant ,a song with meaning ,love it

  • People that say Elvis did not lead a happy life was wrong he had a happy life yes the drugs and every thing that he did was not a good thing to do but that does not mean he did not have a happy life i bet if you knew him i bet he was happy all the time just laid back and happy i think he lead a happy life but thats me.

  • @prettybabyface105 xD Yeah. Sure. He was broken the moment his mother died.

  • Elvis is the best singer that i have ever heard i am only twelve and he is my all time fav i love this song and ppl should not be leavin bad stuff about him, he is so good

  • I GUESS 20 PLEOPLE HAD A NIGHTMARE.

  • Follow your dream, its up to you were its lead you..

  • He was a handsome DEVIL wasn't he.

  • 20 people don't know what real music is.

  • Fantastic song!!!!!

  • ONE OF MY FAVS. BUT BETTER YET WAS THE COURT ROOM SCENE IN THIS MOVIE ELVIS WAS AWESOME AND VERY FINE ACTOR THAT SCENE HE DID WAS SO TOTALY EMOTIONAL AND BELIEVABLE HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN AWARD FOR THAT SCENE ALONE

  • like the 12 year old girl said brill song better than the dumb music of today jt

  • This is Bruce Springsteen's favorite song

  • great song

  • I believe I heard this for the first time when I was 6. Elvis has made a great impression on me and I truely love his music. It has something special- something you rarely see nowadays, just pure quality I guess

  • Im a gonna follow that dreeeeeeaaaaaammmmmm...yeah GO ELVIS.

  • this song is impossibly catchy, and sung incredibly, this is NOT the master by the way, the master take is even better, but unfortunately the stereo master is missing, only the mono master is available... this out take is stereo.

  • <3 <3 <3 <3

  • Elvis, always the King, who happened to be a very nice, down-to-earth gentleman with a mountain of talent. He really appreciated his fans. And if Elvis thought he was good-looking, he sure didn't act like it. That's the true art of it all. I miss you, Elvis.

  • Man i agree with the witcha lady that woman wants that man and thats not actin!! who on earth is that young man?? he surely must be pop ular!??

  • Did Elvis know that he is a good looking man?

  • @oncom2008 I think he did, but wow, I think i'd be a total big head if I looked like him, to his credit he never seemed big headed.

  • I grew up on this stuff. Elvis rocks. -dances to the music-

  • lucky woman he sang this 2....grrrrrrrrrrr

  • @TheDiganis I understand you COMPLETELY !!!!.....But even if I got the chance ...I was a very little girl at that time ....

  • ✔✔✔✔

  • mein freund elviskingintheworld und ich elvisvernongladys lieben den king und verehren ihn!!!mit seiner hilfe haben wir viele schöne stunden verlebt-das ist einfach

    nur elvistheKING

  • we miss you !!!

  • E was so inocent. This was before he was poisoned by the hollywood life. RIP Elvis

  • Great song! But where's the swiveling?

  • Another great song from Elvis!

  • Wow, E before he got all dyed and gaudied up. So gorgeous.

  • always great music from elvis :)

  • one handsome actor and singer

  • @carmellabe Definatley x

  • @WOghost i know. and thats the 12% of the time you can even halfway understand what there saying.

  • THE BEST VIDEO OF ELVIS :)

  • i don't know. the more i think about it the more apparent it is; ELVIS was WAY better than the Beatles. When u dig, you'll find songs, some that charted, some not- that will blow your mind. He's a never ending treasure chest. I mean i liked John lennon WORKING CLASS HERO and all, but the early beatles were kind of awful- a white BAR band essentially doing covers of JUMP music (as they used to call rock back during the 'original era')

  • @peterchoyce Brilliantly put...there is so much more to the King than just the image. A complex and compelling artist who made interesting and relevant music for 23 years.

  • great song like it peace xx

  • @LimerickElvis yees your right. great soong

  • Hey Tony, What an excellent recording of this, one of my very favorite E.P. songs! I just subbed you! I hope we can share alot of great music.. I'm listening...The Captain...

  • elvis has follow his dream what a dream it was

  • This a great song from one of my favorite Elvis movies-and, I would argue, a decent film on its own right;some genuinely funny scenes and really nice story. Howeve, this particular segment is awful, really silly. I love the way Elvis **tries** to make this utterly improbable situation look somewhat natural by fidgeting around, scratching his neck, playing with the sand, etc. I get the impression he realized this whole set up was ridiculous, but was dong his best, gamely, to make the scene work.

  • elvis is still with us,though he didn't live a happy life, nor did he follow his dream may he rest in peace

  • @coolkat4456 ... Hey Cool ... I thought I'd say that Elvis did lead a happy life. His problems arose from prescribtion drug addiction which didn't start causing him real stress until the last 3 years he was alive. Elvis had an absolute ball .. and said so on many occasions.

  • Bruce Springsteen claims this as his favorite Elvis song, I guess that's why he's done it in concert.

  • Rest In Peace.

  • GREAT ELVIS SONG!

  • Wow! This guy's good...damn good.

  • :)

  • Track is often performed live in concert by Bruce Springsteen who often pays homage to Elvis. This is what I admire about Bruce. Probably one of the best songs from an Elvis movie.

  • there is a slight difference in this version, it is not the original, but very close. Thx.

  • Great voice!!!

  • fajne zaraziłam moją młodszą siostrę Miśkę i razem słuchamy i śpiewamy

  • The only actor i have ever seen in film, where the women just look at him fascinated with his beauty , they just want to devour him :)

  • @TWALITCH This so true. Every photo and every second of every movie Elvis is photogenic- except in the last year or so of his life. He was a fine actor too. The producers and director of Midnight Cowboy wanted Elvis to play the role of Joe Buck, but Colonel Tom Parker rejected the role without even telling Elvis. Jon Voight eventually played the part. It would have defined him as an actor. But you're right Twalitch in his movies the women dont even try and hide their fascination for him.

  • Elvis had, and still does, more charisma, charm and "IT" than amyone who ever lived.
