8 years passed between 93 when the towers were hit the first time and 2001 when they were hit the second time. It's been barely 7 years since 9-11. Al Qaeda's attacks on the US are few and far between, so the "we havent been hit since 9-11" point isnt really a legit calling card.

In my humble opinion, this is why we are so divided now. If you believe that the only function of Government should be to protect the shores, keep the mail running on time, keep taxes & capital regulation as low as possible & get out of the way. Then Bush has been a great president. If you think the opposite and more(too much to name, then he's been one of the worst. We are so caught up in this left vs right fixation, we are not even talking about the real issues that impact all of our lives.

1.Corporate profits are up, and the wages and incomes of average Americans are down.
2.More and more people are deeper and deeper in debt. Investors hold more and more of that debt.
3.Job creation has not kept up with population growth, and the employment rate has fallen sharply. We export jobs people don't want. Productivity is up.
4.Slackers wanting handouts are on the rise.
5.Rising health care costs are increasing the income of doctors and insurance companies.
