  • Buyin me a shakey lemon on amazon D:<

  • Prosmatrivaiu i kak psihoterapia.

Slushaesh i ne ponimaesh, kak mojno ne lubit jizn i sidet v skariupe...

  • Yes 'Permanesia' ! I was there. First time live. This song really sticks with me!!!

  • Oh man. The shakey lemon is the 6th member of the band. I love that thing. Amazing song, amazing version. It was the second song played the other night at Outside Lands. Fucking phenomenal.

  • @ Permanesia:

Actually, I think it's a bit freaky to call the shakey lemon the 6th member of the band. =P Yesterday Thom woke up sucking the 6th member? Dude o_O

    xD

  • i made an animated video for this song! msg me for the url! it's worth your time, i dare say!

  • I've tried soo hard, but I can't hear that lemon

  • there's a live version of Everything in Its Right Place. the lemon is soo loud, it's awesome

  • very cool song...

  • I shake lemons all the time actually...It replaces the wah-wah effect sometimes used in East German Black Metal.

  • better than the original

  • Yeah, not bad, bro.

Anyway, this a cool, chill song. Sounds like shagging music to me. One of my favorite songs on the album.

  • And yo did the the dust and waves accumulate until they setteled and we were left with only light. The same light which takes years to get from here to there riping and testing the fabric of space-time until it bends in from the gravity of it's own demise.

  • Then as the story goes the light did become the flowers which now bloom only during the season as if time had something to do with it. Ha, ha, time, said the specked lizard clown in the circus of life which was displayed as if in a Tiffany's desert dish.

  • But the light became the flower much like the flowers of a solar system- the planets blooming on perrenially. And this process did continue in reverse in the paradox of infinity.

  • ...cont'd

And from within the earth came the devil in the form of steam which gave life to the illuminated gas of cosmic dimensions and all the creatures from without were dissapointed at the manner in which the moon did set because of the constraints it place up the former planet pluto which exists and dances along the fringes of our solar system. Then all the life which existed from without came to settle within.

  • Puff daddy sprinkles snow on a shimmering blanket of dust which becomes a kaleidoscope in a mind full of foam from the atmosphere of jupiter spinning behind the sun in a ocean bigger than space and a whale called the human race fliping and diping until the dragon fly whispers loosing its wings and disintegrates into the dirt and sand from whence it came.

  • I cant wait to see them in the States!! What an amazing band!!

  • this is some great musical work

  • I love Jonny and his multi-tasking ways so much.

  • Their lemon shaker just reminds me of,

"Yesterday I woke up sucking on a lemon"

Oh how I love them so.

  • they never let us down!!! another great song.

  • I can not wait til' they hit the U.S... haha i love the little lemon shaker!

  • seein em in macnhester in june!! hope they play this.

  • one of those rare moments in art, when genuine thrill accompanies thoughts about, what will they do next... very very biscuits

  • "because we separate like ripples on a blank shore" ... brilliant.

  • Without a doubt the most innovative and kick ass band in the world! (in my opinion!)

Can't wait for the gig in malahide in June.

  • remynash--great comment. kudos (both the congratulatory type and the delicious snackbar).

  • I think the best part of this entire song is the ending jam. It shows they all love what they're doing, regardless of whether some douchebag on youtube will claim this isn't music or some other lamer will claim its ungodly. Whatever it is, I personally like it.

  • It doesn't get much better than Radiohead...beautiful boys!

  • I love this song and this performance is good, but you have to admit

he kinda sounds like the old creepy guy from family guy.

  • his voice is butter.

  • hah nice way to describe his voice true though it really is!

  • Whenever I listen to this I feel like something good will happen Very beautiful.

  • this is my favourite band....is amazing....

  • Radiohead invented jazz and the lightbulb what a career they've had nobody even thought they would get past the auditions for X-factor well simon cowell eat your heart out I knew sharon osbourne would see the talent in them. I mean she saw it in Ozzy osbourne,oh wait, what?

  • Hahaha, that was quite witty :p

  • Best band and smartest band ever.

  • I haven't seen thom using an SG in a while.

  • they are back for godd!!love the new album...fucking amazing.!!

  • I think Radiohead key is they actually understand music theory, thier polished in a nearly classical way.

  • one has to mention the beats. polyrhythms are cool. phil selway is an awesome drummer, disciplined yet grooving.

    i hear an afro-latin influence.

that being said, this song could use more cowbell.

  • I could swear the vocals are so damn good it sounds like playback

  • i actually think there's a little slapback delay on the mic, but i could be wrong. it only sounds like it at certain points.

  • oh im sure theres some delay. I was speaking more of the fact that he's hitting the notes well.

  • you chums gotta buck it up, Radiohead isn't changing the face of music, but in a world where musical progresion is becoming ever so slight, a song like reckoner is brillant simply because its use of minimalisim. sure some other band coulda made it. maybe you could've, but you didnt, nor could you. and until the day you come up with a song like idioteque go bark up another tree, your argument is a misunderstanding, so is your musical prowess.

  • its not only the song , its the band , the money , the influence that makes the song good

  • Slitheringinterstate, you simply fail to recognize true talent. If this song was on a local bands myspace, I would seriously be impressed. It's professionally put together, with the aid of musical theory, pure emotion and the love of good music. It's being delivered perfectly. And those are some really professional vocals. To be that good, they'd be WAYYY more than a local band.

You simply fail to understand certain things, no hard feelings.

  • dude that make me crack up

  • why even watch then?

  • I do think the song is amazing, but I also agree with you.

I also question why you made the comment, however.

  • I think John has taken some inspiration from Radiohead in his solo stuff over the years so this can maybe be seen as a return of the favour!

  • I agree that the latest album "in rainbows" is not to be considered revolutionary, but I also don't think that's what Radiohead wanted to do with it.

"in Rainbows" is simply a masterclass in music lectured by Radiohead who show what they can do within slightly traditional song structures......and it's pure magic

A band with this much talent who have been playing together for 20 full years should not be disregarded......they are simply the best band in the world today

  • dick head

  • please someone tell me the secret these gods are keeping from all other bands.

  • nobody will ever know....

  • I think the lemon is a reference to the lyric "Yesterday I woke up sucking on a lemon", since Jonny's been using it since Kid A

  • the lemon is just a shaker he uses to keep himself in time

  • No, the lemon is a shaker he uses to make a shaking sound. It's in the studio version too.

  • Awesome! Thanks alot for posting, this is one of my favorite songs in IR. Anyone know what keyboard Johnny is using in this version?

  • Great....

now I have to save up for a lemon. Thanks a lot, Jonny! I guess my Ondes Martenot is useless now.

  • Best version on here so far. I think I finally understand what Tom actually says! 'Did I cater to all human beings?' LOVE IT!

  • i think he says "dedicated to all human beings"

  • Magnifique !

  • The drums really make this song what it is. Phil Selway is an underrated drummer.

  • It depends in what aspect. I dont thinkk anyone can deny that he adds exactly what radiohead needs when it comes to percussion and drums. However, skill, technicality, and even creativity are areas where he isnt too strong.

  • R.O.F.L. How in tha hell you can say they're no strong in creativity? Hear their entire discography please

  • oh im quite aware of the bands overall creativity. Im not a massive Radiohead fan so I havent heard all of their songs, but out of the ones that I have (which is a fairly decent amount) Phil doesnt seem too creative

  • three words:

    The National Anthem.

  • The Global Anthem

  • Possibly one of the best songs ever

    Thom Yorke is so awesome!

  • I just blew an aural load in my skull.

  • wapz1234 you're are an idiot how do you think this isn't alive

please wash your ears before say something stupid...xD

    The Video was awesome

    and the song is beautyful

  • wapz1234, you, um, you're not so smart.

  • they actually streamed this live, you have to be an idiot to not believe its authenticity

  • some of the other videos were album versions, but indeed you would be an idiot not to be able to tell that this one was live.

  • wapz1234 are you crazy? if you can't tell this is a genuine live performance there must be something wrong with your ears.

  • you mean jigsaw dumb

  • this isnt radiohead, its people who look like them witht he lips sinc'd. its not the album its just a pretend download, radiohead dont even exist.

  • hahahahahaa thumbs up

  • I just laughed so hard when I read this, my body went into a mini-convulsion and kool-aid shot out of my nostrils. Thanks, I needed that.

  • If this is just the album version, and they are miming, where the hell at the strings at 3.07?

  • Amazing.

  • this is one of the greatest tracks in 2007... and one of the greatest Thom Yorke vocals live... Phil's livedrums are just pure genius... and love Thom Yorke solo on the guitar...

  • soooooo gooooood

  • fuck they had that lemon when they were touring kid a. fucking cheapos:P

    wat a jam

  • AWESOMMMEEEE

  • tssssss reckoner tss radiohead awesome video ! thanks for this !
