Very Beautiful Tutorial! It was clear and easy to understand! I like that you gave us 3 different types for examples (not counting cheater). The originals are much prettier.
I know you mentioned to another user that these won't work full size but I have a hankering to try it any way as soon as I have cash to burn. LOL There's gotta be a way around the rust issue! Mahahaha...
I've really enjoyed watching all 8 video tutorials - thank you so much for sharing them, and for your patient work which has given such beautiful results. I can see lots of applications for this technique - flower petals, leaves, butterflies, abstract shapes, mobiles... You could add all sorts of embellishments such as gems, glitter glue, sequins etc. etc. I'm not at all into fairies, but the technique will be most useful!! Thanks again.
Thank you so much, is there a wrong type of gallery glass to use? I was wondering what would happen if you use the colored gallery glass? I saw that they had shimmery gallery glass paint etc. I also thought it might be neat to use metallic paints, instead of regular paint. What do you think about this idea?
These are gorgeous! The time and effort are well worth the work.
I did have a question. You suggested to another viewer not to make them full scale with the glass. Is this because of the weight, or are they overly fragile? I'd like to try it, as I am REALLY not fond of purchased wings nor the pantyhose method.
Thank you so much. It's been a couple of years since I actually made this video and I don't remember the website. You'll have to watch that part again to find out. Sorry.
One of the biggest problems I've had is with wings. You have shown me just what to do step by step. You are an angel for making these videos. Thanks so much. How do you learn all these crafty things you do?
im soooo using the cheater wings! LOLz! i like watched ur whole 8 part video and then u tell me i can cheat at the end! torture much!? anywho! thanks im having fun making fairies now, but im having trouble printing on transparencies... nice video tutorial tho, and love ur voice! xo!

for what do you use the wings?
amysshizzle 1 year ago
@amysshizzle on tiny little clay fairies. Some people make and sell them on ebay and etsy.

@TalentofNone The gallery glass was so thick, it never dried clear. Also, wire hangers rust with gallery glass.

@GardenOfImagination Oh my, I never realized. Thank you. I think I may have found a better way with tissue paper. :)
Still, these are so lovely small scale.

@TalentofNone I'm very sorry it won't work large scale. Oh how I wish it did.

This was very inspirational. I thought the "non cheater" wings were much more beautiful. Either way this is quite a find for me!

Thank you so much Angela:) You are so kind to give so much of your time away from your husband and kids to help other people!
The "cheater" wings are pretty too.

Be sure you are printing on the right side. One side just smears.
