@phenomenalyana yes the sole are crochet too, although there can be a light or heavy coating put on they for duribility to wear outside. Mind you they are not made more for the patio or short trips, not kicking rocks...LOL They are machine washable! I made my brother a pair and he wore them around the yard and to the store...I designed the for the holiday season and being at home or visiting family and just looking warm and cute! If you're not to hard on them where ever you are they'll wear fine

What is the finished height of your boot in the picture? Mine is 11inches I don't want to fringe it yet if thats the wrong height

My boots are 12 in. from the point I started the hdc stitches that start the split in the back. So I think they are about the same almost the last row is a single crochet row and I added the fringe at the bottom of the single crochets so that there was a bit of a rig at the top....I hope this helps and I still wanna see the pics...sound like you did a good job. Kudos

Actually the fringe is attached to the outter part of the loop of the last hdc row. and then there's the sc row that I always add as a border......

o.k. love the boots but can you wear them outside?

A protect coating can and will be added to the bottom and the crocheter can add a leather botton as well or purchase soles and use an heavy duty adheive to adhere rubber soles. It is all optional!!! I just sharing designs that unique and different . These would be nice to have in the harsh winter and wear on a long ride traveling or the patio or at Thanksgiving or Christmas morning when all the pictures are being flicked! There are always options....maybe you may have an idea for a durable sole
