No way in hell. It was great Pacquiao and poor Oscar. Give the man his credit, Manny has paid his dues, fought many many great champions in their prime and destroyed them. I'm not sure if Oscar was really weight drained. The fight was at 147 but Oscar weighed 145 at the scale. Oscar's a professional, why would he cut 2 lbs below the maximum if he was having a hard time? I remember seeing an article that the reason he was cutting too much weight was to counter Manny's speed with speed. As a matter of fact an article in The Daily News.com stated that Oscar was already 143 weeks before the fight. Oscar under estimated Manny. But weight drained? I don't think so.

@sweetscience211 Pacquiao reinvented himself for this fight. Very impressive in my eyes. Sure Dela Hoya was dehydrated, but who's fault is that. Would his level of hydration have changed the result? No way in hell. It was great Pacquiao and poor Oscar. Give the man his credit, Manny has paid his dues, fought many many great champions in their prime and destroyed them. His fights now are largely money fights, lined up by his promoter. It's the nature of the game at that level.

His fight with JMM won't be as exciting this time around, as Manny is a way better fighter now than their previous 2 meetings. Although I feel Manny is starting to slow down now JMM still doesn't stand a chance. Why can't people give a little credit where it's due, Manny is a Jr. Welter dominating boxers at 147. And the only fight we want to see is now with Floyd Jr. Then he'll retire and we'll need an up & coming to fill the large void!

When Manny took down the legends Barrera & Morales, everyone thought it was great. It wasn't until now when people said they were probably past their prime. Morales is still fighting now & the #2 contender at 140. Oscar was past his prime, but Hatton wasn't. Hard for a title holder to be past his prime. Manny can't fight Khan they're friends & share a trainer, can't fight Donaire unless he wants to come up 5 weight classes.

I'm not sure if Oscar was really weight drained. The fight was at 147 but Oscar weighed 145 at the scale. Oscar's a professional, why would he cut 2 lbs below the maximum if he was having a hard time? I remember seeing an article that the reason he was cutting too much weight was to counter Manny's speed with speed. As a matter of fact an article in The Daily News.com stated that Oscar was already 143 weeks before the fight. Oscar under estimated Manny. But weight drained? I don't think so.

@MrCreep2142000 that's the dumbest thing I've heard, you don't use steroids at the point where you need it in your system in the fight - it's used in TRAINING, any one who knows anything about steroids in the fight game would know the steroids is long gone when they test you after the fight. Any ways Pacquiao agreed to full testing, we should have the fight next year.

He could have been juicing 3 months prior to bulk up and it certainly wouldn't be in his system at the time of the fight. With the amount of water and sweat it could have been out of his system in a week.

One in May with Forbes, one in September with Hatton & one with the winner of Cotto-Margarito in December. Hatton rejected the offer. After Margarito TKO'd Cotto Golden Boy Promotions offered the fight to Pacquiao.
