I play sax and once met another sax player who played with Bill Clinton in college. He said Bill was an outstanding sax player back then. It's probably impossible to practice when you're president so he's not at his best but he's pretty good despite not practicing!!

@sponkey21 he definitely does not suck... he plays very clean and it's enjoyable music. i don't know if that's you on the videos on your channel, but the sax player is not that much better, and as a "professional" you should know what sucking at an instrument means and what not and to be respectful when you speak about other people. Also he was the freakin president, i don't think he had lots of time to practice and just play the sax in the oval office

@c0d3x001 I know what sucking on an instrument means, and there is a big big difference between our playing. I you know anything about jazz you would know. He is playing the easiest possible form in the history of jazz, in a slow tempo, in an easy key. He has poor tone control, a poor concept of time, is frequently in the wrong key, and his ideas are extremely basic. I played that well when I was in high school just learning what the blues was. He can hardly play eighth notes.

It is very elementary, and frequently inaccurate. I need more sophisticated music, more stimulating. I will be honest, I don't like my playing all that much either. I have a lot to work on, but I am still very young. If you want to hear a real/great saxophonist listen to Michael Brecker, Joshua Redman, Eric Alexander, etc.

@sponkey21 well okay... i'm sorry if my post before sounded a little insulting. i agree with what you said... it's like working in guitar center and hearing smoke on the water and stairway toheaven multiple times every damn day. they are great songs but sometimes you have just listened to 'em too much. your playing is quite good from a technical perspective and yes you look like you still have lots of time to improve. it's just that for me, not being a sax player myself, i prefer the easy stuff.
