What can I say?! That was a great experience for you, Tamar. It's very difficult to hear your own instrument when you are playing in an orchestra! I used to play with the C tuning peg as close to my ear as possible! That helped, but I didn't want to look funny by doing it too much. I loved your smile of joy at the end! Greetings from NZ.
@peteacher52 Are you now a cello teacher? Thank you very much for the geertings from so far. This was the first time that Tamar went alone to a musical camp and was 4 days alone without us. That was quite a great experience. For us also- to discover she is much more mature than what we thought. I will read her all of your comments.
@Schtofenbach I am a retired teacher with a keen interest in teaching music, particularly ukelele, guitar and recorder. I played cello during the 70s and 80s, but not since. I have taught, if requested and at no cost, a few children the first basics of cello before they go to a registered music teacher for proper tuition. Shalom.
@peteacher52 What you do sounds wonderful. So many teachers are not teaching with the love to what they are doing. You sound as an example what should really be. It sounds that you played for quite a long time cello...
@mvvm18 It was the first time she left home to stay alone in a camp of 4 days... We were worried, but she had no troubles at all, enjoyed tremendousely. She's waaiting for the next one.
