  • wall E is actually older than the movie D:

  • lol dog!

  • It might be impossible but make a working one!!!!!

  • does it transform ?

  • is that the actual scale?

  • @Jakereviews We were told when we made the original drawings that WALL-E was 19" across the top of his body.

This is also the scale of the Disney WALL-E that they took around the country leading up to the release of the film.

    Scot

  • good job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • does it unfold into wall-e

  • This one is static and does not open up.

We have several WALL-E builds that look as he does when he is open.

    Scot

  • cool

  • mega great! i am building the real eve!

  • is it rc

  • Our club is working on the drive system to make it R/C.

  • Congratulations you spent weeks creating a box.

    Mankind thanks you.

  • 4 months making blueprints and 3 months building.

    Glad you like it.

  • VERY COOL!!!

  • very cool dude

  • Thanks

  • i just see a cube...

  • It's what WALL-E looks like when he retracts into his body.

When this one was made there wasn't enough information to make accurate tracks and head.

  • dude thats not like the cool wall-e

  • it doesnt do anything =(

  • This one just sits there as a static display.

Most of the WALL-E replica's are static now but very soon we will have one rolling.

    Stay tuned.

    Scot

  • you are officially on my list of favorite people ever! wall-e is amazing and it makes me fuzzy happy to know other people think this too. :D

  • Thank you.

    Scot

  • Well, I am a Dad and I do make things for my family.

I feel WALL-E is in the Family film category.

    Scot

  • I don't say that it's bad, your wall-e is nice, but wall-e? i sure think different and i would make something else to keep me busy, but hey everybody has his own taste

  • I do make other movie props and prop parts for things like R2-D2.

Since this channel is about WALL-E that is all I will post here.

    Glad you like him.

    Scot

  • can built a real wall-e which loves eve?:) <3

  • Thsi may be stupid but how did you make it with like plastic i assume if you dont mind?

  • I built mine out of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), Masonite, Acrylic, and some Steel Pipe.

    Lots of glue and nails.

I coated all the MDF and Masonite with Gesso and painted it with Equipment Yellow, Red, and Flat Black.

    Scot

  • wheres his head :'( wall-e needs his head

  • I was able to build the eyes but there wasn't enough information when I built this one to detail the back of his head or the connection point where his neck and head meet let alone the tracks.

Check out the Tom's WALL-E Project video on our channel to see a complete one being built.

    Scot

  • defies the point of wall-e. what is there to be proud of? you made a box that resembles a fictional character when it looks least impressive. it is awful. it does nothing.

  • It was intended to be a static display.

There was not enough information to generate detailed plans to make a complete and accurate WALL-E when I built this one.

Today the Original WALL-E Builders Club has the most detailed plans to build a replica WALL-E from.

Tom used them to build his replica from and he has built a complete set of tracks, arms, and a head to go with it.

    Scot

  • I dont understand is it just the walle box type thing with everything retracted or does it open up liek the head arms and tracks? but it look s very nice anyway

  • I built this before the movie was released in theaters.

With the limited amount of information avalible at the time and the amount of time I had to finish him to be put on display at the Regal Cinema near the Fairfield Commons Mall, this is as far as he could be built.

Look at Tom's WALL-E project on our Channel to see what can be done today with our plans.

    Scot

  • Thank you very much for responding so quickly and for answer all my questions. i hope tom's walle project turns out as you guys plan. and again it looks really good

  • i like wall-e

  • can you sell it in stores please

  • I'm sorry but you have to make them yourself.

This one took me 3 months to make.

  • Can wall-e possibly replace the companion cube?

  • I think that unlike the Companion Cube, WALL-E has arms that can be used to keep someone from putting him in the incinerator.

Is the cake really a lie?

    Scot

  • how come he can't transform.

  • Because he is a CGI Character he cannot because there isn't enough room inside his body for all his parts without changing the size and shape of his tracks, head and arms.

Disney spent over $1,000,000 on their WALL-E and it can't transform either.

    Scot

  • can it move or is it just a box?

  • This one was built as a static model.

We are working on a track drive for those who want to build an R/C WALL-E.

The next one I build will be remote controlled and complete.

    Scot

  • try to make it dirty and rusty :)

  • My next one will be weathered.

Come and check out Neil's 1/2 scale WALL-E build in our photos area of the Original WALL-E Builders Club on Yahoo Groups.

He applied a techique to put real rust on his.

    Scot

  • nice dog 0:06

  • Thanks.

    He's a good boy.

    Scot

  • Nice! A little question though: Are you going to try (if you're not already trying) to get his head attached and get it to "pop up"?

  • This WALL-E Build was to see if it was possible to build a WALL-E before the movie came out.

He was finished 4 weeks before the movie hit the theater.

The next one will be more detailed and if you check out our The Original WALL-E Builders Club on Yahoo Groups you can see more of what we have built.

    Scot

  • hey scot

could you teach me how to build a eve robot on your next video?

  • I don't intend to build Eve but maybe someone else will be kind enough to build one and post a video tutorial.

    Scot

  • ok scot, ok it's your decision it's an perfect wall-e is impossible to shell, after the long work building this wall-e.

    Alex

  • you can shell wall-es? you can create more wall-es to shell, you want shell this item to me?

  • Sorry but I do not sell WALL-E replica's.

  • Well its a BOX. !!.

How about making it work or do stuff mate to make the video worth watching. I sat through all that hoping to see it do stuff. !!

  • Yep..He's a box..

    Check out our latest video.

Tom is making progress toward getting his rolling.

Keep in mind that this is the 2nd fan built WALL-E ever to be made.

    tdri was the first.

Since this video we have improved our drawings allowing anyone to build a more accurate version than this.

We will be posting new video's showing WALL-E doing stuff.

  • nice robot scot!! :):):):):)

  • Thanks

  • hey scot

    is that a real robot.

  • No, It just looks like one.

    Scot

  • What about the head Scot?

  • When I built him I did not have enough information to finish the head.

I did make the eyes out of MDF but could not figure out the head to neck connection or what the shape of the back of his head was.

Also as the release date for the movie approached I wanted to have something to display at the Regal Cinema in Fairborn, Ohio for at least a week before the movie came out.

If you check out the link to our group you will see a complete MDF WALL-E on our front page.

    Scot

  • it needs detailing on the buttons where wall-e plays music

  • When I built it there wasn't any good photos of those buttons.

I knew they were there but didn't know what the shapes were on the buttons themselves.

For what he is at the time of this video you could not find a more detailed WALL-E replica.

Today we have several members that have built more detailed WALL-E replicas.

Check out Tom's video in our channel.

    Scot

  • if your not busy could you help then.

  • I am sorry to say that you will have to build him on your own or with the help of friends or family.

I really do not have time or resources at my disposal.

    Scot

  • could you build a animatronic wall-e for me? because i always want a wall-e robot.

  • Sorry,

    I am too busy.

    Scot

  • hey scot

why don't they sell park atractions?

  • Because they want you to come to Disneyland and Disneyworld to see them.

    Scot

  • hey scot

i didn't mean the ultimate wall-e. i mean the animatronic wall-e in disney world. so are they selling it? because i was hoping to buy one.

  • Nope.

That's like saying "Does Disney sell full size castles like they have in the park?"

Disney isn't in business to sell park attractions.

If you want to see it you need to go to the park to see it.

However, the next best thing would be to get a job at Disney where you are one of the operators running the Disney WALL-E.

    Scot

  • The Ultimate WALL-E is remote controlled and interactive.

They are a couple hundred dollars.

    Scot

  • switch him onn

  • i like chating with you scot.

  • hey scot

how can i make a millon dollors? i need advice on how to make money. im a beginer because i am a kid and don't know how to make money.

  • Go to school, get good grades, work hard and do your best at everything you do.

Go to college and get a degree.

Apply for jobs where there is room for advancement.

Work your way up the corporate ladder and you can be paid very well.

Or you can build a static WALL-E like mine for around $100 in materials.

You could get a paper route to make that much money.

    Scot

  • is there other ways to make a millon dollors? and i can't work yet im just a kid.

  • Invent something that costs 10¢ to make and you can sell for $1.00.

Write a childrens book and have it published.

Kids have been known to do that before.

    Scot

  • are you sure that's what the price is?

  • Just a guess.

Disney doesn't do things on the cheap side when they have to be durable and able to run for many hours in the parks.

    Scot

  • how much is the real wall-e animatronic cost?

  • I would venture to guess it is around a million dollars.

    Scot

  • when are you off work and college scot?

  • I will be done working in 30 years when I retire.

My job requires I continually improove my skills so that will mean going to college on and off for years.

  • hey scot

    what are you busy doing?

  • Work and College.

    Scot

  • head?

  • When I built this WALL-E there wasn't enough information to build the head and neck.

Also I wanted to have something ready for when the movie was released in the theater.

We now have the ability to build WALL-E completely.

Check out Tom's WALL-E Build in our channel.

    Scot

  • but scot

i can't build robots but you can and besides im just a kid and what do you mean you don't have time for my project.

    ps: im not mad scot

  • What better way for you to learn than to build your own.

    After all it's "your project".

    Start with cardboard.

I started building models when I was 7.

It takes time and teaches patients.

You also learn skills that will help you later on in your life.

    Have fun building.

    Scot

  • no remote control for my wall-e robot because i want wall-e to move on it's own

  • Even the Disney WALL-E is remote controlled.

    Scot

  • hey scot

my wall-e creation is very active. he learns emotions watching tv, he plays games, he falls in love with girl but with one girl only, when you tell him it's bed time his head goes inside the box and when you tell him to wake up his head goes outside the box. but i don't have one so make it look like the one in disney world.

  • Make sure you check out Tom's WALL-E build as well.

It was made using our most recent drawings.

    Scot

  • i asking you to do this because i want a wall-e robot sooo badly and make it look like the wall-e from disney world.

  • The Disney WALL-E cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and has a special remote control system.

  • hey scot

could you go to disney world and get close to disney wall-e so you could pull some dimensions off of it. then again build the wall-e from disney world and then send it to my house. wallebuilder could you do it for me please. can we do this for free because im just a kid.

  • Sorry, I barely have no time to do that project.

I have faith that you can make it yourself.

He's easier to make than he looks.

    Scot

  • hey scot

is there anywhere i could get the dimensions of wall-e.if there is please tell me.

  • We have drawings on the Original WALL-E Builders Club.

The link is in our channel.

    Scot

  • please make me one

  • is it a real robot?

  • It is a static WALL-E.

We have a few members working on remote controlled WALL-E replica's.

Mine was built to be displayed at a theater leading up to the release of WALL-E.

There wasn't enough information about WALL-E's head or tracks to build him in his deployed state so I ended up closing him up.

Check out Tom's build progress on our channel and on his wizojoz channel.

    Scot

  • thats not wall-e thats a box -.-

  • At the time I built this WALL-E there wasn't enough information to build a complete WALL-E.

I had intended to have his eyes peeking out the top but ran out of time.

This one was on display at the Regal Cinema in Beavercreek Ohio for several weeks leading up to the movies release.

trdi was the first to build a WALL-E, check out his channel.

Check out Tom's video in our channel.

With the new information we have, many of our members are building some of the most accurate WALL-E replica's.

  • so does it transform into him

  • No, this one is a static display.

  • this is amazing

  • Thank you.

  • Pretty well done and detailed.

  • Thank you.

Cory and Tom are using the most recent set of drawings for WALL-E to build theirs.

They are avalible for free on the Original WALL-E Builders CLub on Yahoo.

Our link is in our channel.

    Scot

  • iitS kOOL..bUt iit WiLL bEE bEttER OpEN!!!

  • Have you checked our other videos yet?

    Scot

  • WALL-E is actually a logical robot, it makes sense and is actually possible to make work precisely like in the film

  • AstatineMime: Do you mean the wall-e that can transform like in the movie???

If yes.... Well.... I'm doing that now

I'm constructing wall-e that can transform.. but so difficult LOL.

    hope to see your answers

  • I have the blue print of the transformable WALL-E, It took me weeks. But the bad thing is, I don't have no materials. Im stupid

  • Why don't you just open up WALL-E???

  • Check our other videos.

Tom is building one that is open.

    Scot

  • What I meant was for WALL-E to open and close itself like the one in the movie

  • WALL-E cannot transform like in the movie.

There is not enough room inside for his head, arms and tracks.

Now if you make his head and tracks smaller and his arms thinner you would be able to make him like the transformable toy but he would not be screen accurate.

Also, the room inside would be consumed by the mechanism to pull the tracks in and batteries.

You also would be fighting the tracks dragging the ground as they were deployed or retracted.

  • Hey Scot. Nice project!

I'm currently working on a very detailed 3D model of WALL-E in Rhino 3D. All parts do indeed actually fit inside but the mechanics involved are pretty complex and probably impossible to replicate in MDF. Eventually, I'll be able to fully animate this model. First animation will be transforming into his "turtle shell" and back. I've taken gobs of screencaps of the movie to help get the detail down. It really is a time consuming process.

  • Thanks,

Make sure you post some of your work on the WALL-E Builders Club Yahoo Group.

    Scot

  • Who says I'm putting batteries?

And wall-e's arms are in the outer side dude... How did u think i made the blue print?

  • The arms are on the outside but when he retracts into his body the arms are pulled in flush with the sides.

I don't know how you did the blueprint short of drawing it on a piece of paper or using AutoCAD but you haven't shown the blueprint so I don't know what it looks like.

Good luck on your build when you start it.

Feel free to join the group and post progress photos.

The link is in our channel.

    Scot

  • i know huh!!!!

  • Oh!!!! thanks. I will see.

  • I'm also building Wall-e..I expect it to do almost everything like in the movie. I try to design my Wall-e to have special abilities to transform like in the movie.. But now i'm stucking in the problem at the treds and the arm. I don't know that I will join Wall-e builder's group or not because i'm not in America. if i finish I may post it in youtube. But please help me with the Treds, its to small and looks strange. The arms also are not strong enough.LOL thanks

  • pienpro, We have members all over the world.

We have members from Australia to Spain.

    You would be welcome.

We have a the best set of drawings for WALL-E on the internet and they are free to whoever wants them.

Our membership is free as well and we will not ever ask for donations to keep a website running.

    Hope to see you there.

    Scot

  • im not in america either im from scotland

  • Come and join the fun!

The link is in our Channel.

    Scot

  • He is big,heavy,...but he works??..

  • This one is static.

If you check out the latest video you will see Tom's WALL-E Build.

    His will be remote controlled.

  • that would make a great computer case/media center case

great work, i'd like to build a Wall-E with my kids

  • Come and join the Club.

The link is in our channel.

  • He is big!

  • Heavy too.

    It's also a small table.

We are rechecking our measurments and may change his dimensions to make him a little smaller.

    Scot

  • Eheh! Cool box mode ^^ Well, good luck for the second Wall-E ! Tell me when you finish it! :D

  • Thanks.

I'm glad you liked the video.

With the information I had and the time limit before the movie came out this was all I was able to do.

    Scot

  • it's cool exept that it just BOX MODE!

  • no wheels head looks like its inside

  • Yes,

He is supposed to look like he would when he was brand new off the factory floor ready to be deployed.

    Scot

  • no head no weels no ?????

lol cool vid but where is that head ??

  • Because of the time I had and the money avalible at the time I was building I was not able to built his track system or arms.

Very little information was avalible on the back of his head and the connction between his head and neck to build them.

The goal was to have something built before the movie was released to display in a theater lobby.

One of our members is working on a new WALL-E that is more detailed than this one.

Come check it out at the link in our channel.

    Scot

  • Its cool but why doesent it turn on and move.

  • Because this one is a static display made out of MDF, Masonite, Pine, Oak, and Acrylic.

Also this one was only ment to look like WALL-E.

    Scot

  • This replica is PERFECT, but i wonder if a "open" wall-e would be better. Isn't it?

  • Because of the time I had and the money avalible at the time I was building I was not able to built his track system or arms.

Very little information was avalible on the back of his head and the connction between his head and neck to build them.

The goal was to have something built before the movie was released to display in a theater lobby.

One of our members is working on a new WALL-E that is more detailed than this one.

Come check it out at the link in our channel.

  • wat piece of meteral did u use, cuz i didnt watch ur perv videos so i dont know O.o nice tho holy crap ur gewd

  • He is made of MDF (Medium Density Fiber Board)

There is also some acrylic, masonite, Oak and a ton of glue and nails.

    Thanks for watching.

    Scot

  • MAKEK HIM MOVE! I WANNA SEE IT MOVE!

  • Within the next year you may see people building R/C WALL-E replicas.

This one is a static display.

    Scot

  • Wow. This is awesome! :)

  • You should see what one of our members has built so far.

I am trying to get him to make a progress video to post on this channel.

Feel free to join the Original WALL-E Builders Club on Yahoo Groups using the link in our channel.

    Scot

  • I'm not a very good builder (nooo experience, and also sort of clumsy...if I had to use the tools you probably used, I'd likely saw off my hand :p) But your Wall.e is amazing! I'll keep checking back. It's really cool. ^_^

  • Very kwl, very detailed. Doesn't your Wall-e transform out of his compact mode? jw.

  • No, this one is static, besides there is not enough room inside of him for all his parts to fit let alone the mechanics to make him deploy.

  • Join the WALL-E Builders Club on Yahoo Groups.

We have first generation drawings avalible and are producing the WALL-E Builders Official plans as we speak.

The link to the Original WALL-E Builders Club is in our channel.

    Scot

  • As long as my WALL-E can compact rubbish when its built I'm happy.

  • I guess you will be unhappy.

    Sorry.

    Scot

  • Actually from what I've read making it do that wouldn't be hard. If it has a metal shell adding hydralics at the back would do it, though I'm nowhere near making a scale model who could do that yet. Good luck with your future models too. No doubt they'll look great like this one.

  • nice your Wall-E live?

  • No, This one is a static model.

The next one will be remote control.

    Scot

  • In the 3rd step make the SI (intelligence)!

  • With a good guess toward the price of a full scale R/C WALL-E being somewhere around $9000 I'll leave the programming work up to someone with deeper pockets than I.

New members in the R2 Builders asked if they could take the guts out of the Interactive R2-D2 and put them in a full scale R2-D2.

The end result would be a 150lb house wrecker.

I like the idea of keeping control of my creations.

    Scot

  • Me is from Poland. YES! In my country is more pay. Me now making the my WALL·E in the second step.

  • Make sure to make a video reply to this video to show your progress.

I'd love to see it running.

    Scot

  • epic!!!

  • Thank you.

  • Just wondering about the specs again. Is there anywhere I can get the exact dimensions of WALL-E?

  • They have not been released to the public yet.

We believe he is near 19" across the top and his track links are 8" wide.

So far those dimensions work pretty well with our current plans.

I'm sure since Pixar has given toy companies the dimensions and signed contracts it wouldn't be fair to give the dimensions out to hobbyists'.

Other than that if you can get close to the Disney WALL-E you could pull some dimensions off of it.

  • It look very cool!!

  • Thanks

  • Hi Scot

An idea for the WallE sign. You could use some decal paper which you can buy on Ebay. Just print the WallE sign onto the paper using your computer printer and then apply in the same way we used to do on our Revell model kits back in the day!

Good luck finishing him off, my son loved your video. I'm probably going to have to make one now!

  • I never thought about that.

Good luck on your build and if you would like to post any videos of your progress you are more than welcome to post them here.

    Scot

  • Does it stay like a box or do is arms, legs and head pop out?

  • This one is a static display.

Because WALL-E is CGI he does things a physical WALL-E cannot do.

One of those things is retract into himself.

There is not enough room for his arms, head and tracks to fit inside of him.

    Scot
