I heard that the American version will have online and 5 new characters, don't know if it is true or not. But, one character will be taken out because of licensing issues. Guessing it is someone from Tatsunoko.

I think 3 of these characters should be Jill Valentine, Speed Racer, & Apollo Justice or Phoenix Wright.

It is true. Because of lisencing issues, we lose one Tatsunoko fighter, Hakushon Diamao, and as you stated, we get 5 additional fighters. In addition, we will get more mini games and an expanded story mode. As for the 5 new fighters, lets all keep our fingers crossed.

If they were to add more fighters, for Tatsunoko, I would like Speed Racer, or Yatterman 2, and for Capcom, I would like to see either Dante from DMC, Zero from Megaman X, Cody from Final Fight, and another cool choice from Capcom would be Gene from God Hand.

I think they are adding a few things to it (from what I heard from people on IGN).

Maybe online and a few more characters. Here is hoping, that if they do, Jill Valentine and Speed Racer are added.

There's only one problem, as they also said the roster will recieve some pruning. That means less characters. Maybe they'll add some to replace it, but I think they'll just axe like half the characters and then release it here.
