Nice run. I have a 4th gen vtec lude and I run even with my friends 02 wrx. We are both stock, only having catbacks. From a roll I will slowly pull away but if we race from a dig he gets the jump, I'll come back, but never really get that far ahead.
Thats my Lude and 3rd gear he got me but from 2nd we were dead even. 1st gear I would pull a little but in 5th he would pull because he was still in 4th at full boost. Over all I didn't expect to be close, I thought he would kill me.
That doesn't sound right... You reving the lude to the full 8 grand? He should be shifting into 5th before you. I know I pull on my frinds WRX 100 mph+. Also I don't think the WRX can reach the same top speed... I've buried the needle in my 5th gen.
considering its FWD, h22 with a few mods can be pretty beastly, and drivetrain parasitic loss from the AWD, not that surprised. shoot if it was a type s with a K20, it wud have smoked the wrx!
