I noticed the little daschund jump off the chair. I thought i should tell everyone who is an owner of daschies. My one once tryed to jump up onto the chair but fell backwards and stuffed a disc in his back. The operation was going to cost $7000 AU. We had the money, but we couldn't bring our selves to pay it with no guarantee. We read lots about this problem and decided to find an obanded shopping trolly, paint it black and place a pillow in it.
Stanley my daschund was paralised in the 2 back legs. After 2 months in the trolly (complete rest) he was walking again. He was also on flamitry tablets. It's been over 6 months now and he has made a full recovery. He can't run to well, but hes fine. Just thought i should give the heads up. So please take care of you daschies. And make sure you watch them when they jump on the chairs.

Can you see the tail wagging? That means the dog isn't being threatening, the dog is just barking as if it wants something. If the dog had its tail between its legs and his teeth were showing, that's when it's threatening. There's another dog there too, who is also acting happy and joyful. If the dog was in "Defense mode" the other dog would be scared and would probably leave or try to calm the other dog down. The dog is wagging it's tail and NOT showing his teeth, He has NO harmful intentions.
Although, you should punish your dog for doing something wrong, your pit would just be barking for not reason, just like this dog. So, technically, you're telling everybody who sees your comment that your an animal abuser. You kind of people make me sick.

Just sharing my opinion here. Abortion is wrong because the baby never gets a real chance at life. Its only okay if the mother is going to die and the baby isnt going to make it anyway. Taking a dog or any animal to the pound is wrong too, no matter the reason. It can be held where its issues cant affect others while it is still healthy and happy enough to be okay. Then someone capable of properly caring for the animal could come to take them and be sure that it can live a good life. Period.
its soo irritating..my dog just barks when he see's people just walk right past by and barks at them....i mostly hate it when its in the car and at night...he just soo loud..too loud...like this 1 and more feirce....when strangers try 2 carry him he bites them...1 time a lady tried 2 pik him up.....he bite her so hard....until she started bleeding...he also bit me...
My daschund is also very fierce. He is just afraid of people that is what our trainer told us. But once I settle people down and he sniffs them he gets used to them. Hang in there he'll get used to people soon!
Dachshunds are so mouthy. I swear if I leave the house for a few mins, I get an azz chewing from them. Then they get all loved up and bark their woo woo woos and I am forgiven. Love my Lil woofers!

It depends on your lifestyle. A smaller daschund is good for an apartment or just a loving lap dog. Min pins tend to be a little more fierce since they were bred as protectors. Daschunds can be pretty damn evil though. They were used to fight badgers, hence the name dasch (badger) hund (dog). Minpins are very trainable and so are daschund, though patience is needed. The way they are varies completely with their personality though.
I have two daschunds, a male and a female. We got them from the same place: a puppy mill. The female (Josie) lived in a very small pen with 6 chiauaus. She only ever saw people 15 minutes a day for a woman to feed the dogs. No direct contact. None of us could touch her at first. Now shes a happy little dog but will only allow me and my mom to do anything with her. And she barks at everyone else like crazy. The male, Rajah, had the same treatment. Hes always liked anyone he met!
i got a whpg (wired haired pointing griffon) named mingus hes the best and he has the best name!!!! We are a musical family and mingus is a bass players (Charles mingus) name and my dog sleeps in a bass case lol!!!!!
