Human beings need to have the ability to act differently in different social situations-- it's normal, it's healthy, think of the way you'd talk to a teacher vs. how you'd talk to a friend.

It would be nice to have a president that isn't so nonchalant and lackadaisical. I'm sorry but I don't see this as "down to earth" I see this as a man that isn't able to act the image of president. The president of the United States of America should not be calling anybody a jackass. He isn't just some Job Blow. It's time that people hold him accountable and to the higher standard that a president should be held to. Enough with making jokes about special Olympics, jackasses, and so on... C'mon
I disagree...no offense meant to you, but I love that he's a regular guy who calls it like it is. If it were all the time, I'd think it would be tiresome, but it's just been an occasional remark (and yes, the unfortunate Special Olympics gaffe). And I think it's worse to be too poised, overly PC and giving constant lip service. The guy has an actual personality in addition to being a hardworking pres. Good on him.
You do realize this wasn't supposed to be recorded at all? The president should watch what he says when he's on camera, but if he wants to make idle chit chat on his own time I couldn't care less. Even in such a position a person can't be all about the job. It would be unhealthy for such a social animal as the human being.
