Grant showed up and played like a team with something to prove. Poly showed up and played like a team that was spent from the SoCal Pac5 playoff wars. Grant was good enough this time. Congrats to GHS. Poly is STILL the standard in Cali though. And until Grant can beat out of state powers like Poly has, and put players into the NFL the way Poly has done, I'll consider this game the "exception" and not the rule.

7. Poly students who have no clue what's going on the field other than TD's, big plays and whatever the crowd is going crazy on. Yet, they have probably went to most of the games.

Other than Grant itself, I think our fans had a major affect on the game which caused negative results due to a basic rule: QUIET ON OFFENSE, GET LOUD ON D!

BTW, I'm not making excuses. I think Grant won fairly.

I was probably one of the few who stayed quiet on offense and got loud on D. I'll tell you some of the things I saw from Poly fans:

1. People getting loud on Offense most likely because some idiot said to do so.

2. People who usually stayed quiet on D.

3. Giving away those fake balloon "thunder sticks" which had barely any affect(who needs them anyway?)

4. Failed attempt of "The Wave"(AT A FOOTBALL GAME?)

5. Caring more about the blond announcer than the game itself. (Cont.)

Just a theory...I think Poly fans affected the game(Offensive wise). Not to say that Grant did have a good defense, but Poly fans, WOULD YOU PEOPLE BE QUIET ON OFFENSE? This is not a crowd battle which most Poly fans must of thought. More like, "Lets disrupt our QB from making a play and risking a false start penalty!" People mistakenly forgot this was a football game, not a baseball or a basketball game. I like the enthusiasm, but save it for the D, which of course people forgot to do so.

I'd have to say this was a great game too coming from a Poly fan/student. I think both teams played fairly well and that the better team won at the end. The only thing I didn't like was those Grant fans at the parking lot who couldn't shut up. Congrats.
