The light sensor was used to detect the tape (black and silver) lines on the floor. We needed to be able to detect when we have crossed the center line (silver tape) in two different instances.

Compressed spring; single shot. Released by a motor that rotates to release a bar that holds the spring cocked.

The whole point of the first two minutes is to show you how the robot can autonomously find the box.
how did you guys launch the ball? compressed air??
