  • He's a great trainer and at least he has the balls to step into a cage and fight unlike some other trainers. *cough* Greg Jackson *cough*

  • Cesar Gracie's status is that of a Legendary trainer/instructor...not of a Legendary Fighter! This video clearly shows that. Nick and Nate Diaz however..are REAL fighters!!!!

  • Why are people not fond of Cesar Gracie?

  • Comment removed

  • Cesar Gracie is one of only ten 7th degree BJ black belts if you think he's such a pussy come down and roll with him garuntee you don't last ten seconds lmao bunch of YouTube thugs who don't know shit about shit I guess this the only place you all can talk shit about someone that would choke your ass out in the blink of an eye lol

  • Jake Ellenberger vs Nick Diaz will end with the same result

  • @quenshingfu hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAA..........OH....PRRRFFFFFFFFAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA LMAO

  • I don't really like cesar, but how many guys would fight frank fuckin shamrock in their first mma fight? He's got a pair.

  • I noticed after watching this a few times that Frank actually walked away from Cesar without the referee actually stopping it. He knew that he had beat him, and walked away. Anybody else notice that?

  • @summacruzlaude Totally! I was thinking the same thing!

  • How is Cesar a mma legend? He had 1 mma fight and got knocked out.... not hating just sayin

  • @TheRealAlanPartridge I see what you're saying. However, I think he can be considered a legend due to his Gracie lineage, the fact that he's such a high-profile trainer, and a 7th degree BJJ black and red belt. It is definitely misleading to call him a legend of MMA, he probably should have been announced differently, but he is a legend of the MMA world even it is not based on his accomplishments as a fighter.

  • @MrCoupon Fair point. I dont agree but your entitled to your own opinion mate

  • @TheRealAlanPartridge C'mon now, Cesar Gracie is a master instructor that trains & conditions cold-blooded killers that are well-known within the MMA community for thriving under Cesar's guidance.

If you know MMA, you know Cesar Gracie, he's a legend. That's not something that's subjective or debatable.

I'm not particularly fond of Cesar, but I'm not dumb enough to deny his legendary status.

  • Nick Diaz vingou essa derrota e humilhou Shamrock hahahaha

  • Cesar the forgotten gracie.garbage that family is

  • thanks for showing up cesar! haha

  • Cesar Gracie is a fat piece of shit. This was his only mma fight, and he got ko'd like a bitch.

  • @stonebridge999 you'd get ko'd like a bitch if u step in and fight. have some respect

  • @kheartsify

I don't respect pussies like Cesar Gracie. One mma fight and the guy's been talking shit for years. Take your own advice you fucking cunt, and close your mouth.

  • @stonebridge999 I'm not the one disrespecting people online What advice to have respect?. He's in the fight game, they all talk shit to each other part of the game. But doesn't matter what I say, YOU'D still get ko'd LIKE a bitch. Why u so mad homie? I only said you'd get ko'd like one, not that u are. But seeing that your the type to disrespect people not to their face and actually get upset like a little bitch from online comments, my bad, you'd get ko'd like the bitch you are

  • the ref is an old man trying to stop it lol

  • now i understand why Nick beat shammy to a bloody pulp.

  • retirement record broken 1 fight 1 loss

  • cesar disgracie i dont even know where this dude came from hobo cesar ahahahahahahaha

  • @Raffael900me Honestly, making a spectacle of your own ignorance does not make you look good. People who know MMA know Cesar Gracie. He is the reason for all of the Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu logos on the shorts and banners of champions and top contenders across a scope of organizations. He is the manager and lead trainer for the Diaz brothers, and he trains Gil Melendez, Jake Shields, and David Terrell among others. He's a 7th degree BJJ black and red belt.

  • He should of atleast had another fight so he didnt give up on such a bad loss

  • "they say frank is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be" -- lmao that statement is so unbelievably ironic that it's hilarious.

  • this looks so ghetto lol

  • Cesar Gracie is a 7th degree red and black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu . The highest belt being 10th degree red belt. Gsp is a 1st degree black belt in BJJ. If cesar is 6 levels higher belt than gsp, that would mean he would destroy gsp on the ground right ?

  • @vampirehunter33 Not really. The belt only says that you have high knowlegde of bjj techniques, it has nothing to with strength, conditioning and being able to take a punch from a big strong guy in the face or even elbows.

  • @vampirehunter33 Not with GSP's olympic level wrestling

  • @vampirehunter33 no because because of strength and speed, and in a fight u will be landing strikes with each other, and if it would be purely grappling then gracie would win hand downs,

  • 2:58 someone jizzed watching the knockout

  • Comment removed

  • lol

  • I hate Cesar and his camp

  • that towel really flies in there

  • legend of mma ? cesar gracie ? REALLY ? with only 1 fight ¡

  • Frank was another animal when he was younger

  • Fuck that gracie bitch and brazilian gayjitsu lmao. Nick got revenge on a worn out broken shamrock

  • Nick got revenge for Cesar!

  • @Yayoballer like Nick would come close to the Frank that face Bas Rutten.

  • @Fourtyb4five stockton! Diaz is a beast, No Shamrock wants it with 209 or a gracie in their prime

  • @Yayoballer ken shamrock fought out of Lockeford which is my hometown and is 5 minutes from Lodi... and is also the 209.. So the shamrock's can holler 209 too.. although they are originally from susanville which is coincidentally my mom's hometown... Frank was her good friend and I'm a Diaz fan haha the Diaz Shamrock fight was great trash talking/ bragging rights for me.

  • I agree that Cesar was probably never gonna win this fight. But why did Shamrock stop the fight even before the Referee did anything? Btw, bad refereeing was done. The ref looked so clueless.

  • @DumbBol Fatso tried to pull guard on the ref. lmao Daaaaaayaaaaam!!! I'm not a fan of extra needless blows after your out. Frank is a POS but he does show class. I'm surprised Cesar wasn't talking shit while they were going at it.....I mean whle he was getting his ass handed to him.

  • When was this?

  • rickson wast good? dont yall know anything yall niga sucks

  • his family name is a legend in mma, not him. they think that technique (which anybody can learn now) overcomes their weak mind and body. it's like the pressure for them to prove their family name is too much for their brain and they crack. and what's funny is if you think ryan gracie was a pussy then all his other family members are below him since he was the only one who could knock anybody out.

  • typical revenge situation: teachers gets hammered, student avenges teacher's loss hahaahahah

  • hahhaahha fagget ass cesar gracie stick to training u lard ass

  • @gspforlifee it's actually their parent's and uncle's fault for making them think they're gods. no you're not a god and if you can't hug their leg and take it to the ground you're going to get destroyed.

  • you can see nick diaz at 3:46 sayin 'cesar come on lets go'

  • @2008spic2009 Lol, nice catch, bro.

  • he is a trainer guys

  • HE's OBVIOUSLY ISNT A REAL GRACIE.......change your name back CESARBOY

  • @ooohrob why cuz it only took a washed up fighter 30 seconds to beat his ass instead of the other Gracies who last a whole 2 mins?

  • Comment removed

  • @quizzachu....GOOD POINT...GUESS ALL GRACIES ARE MMA PUSSIES

  • @ooohrob Yeah, pretty much.

  • @ooohrob Yeah, Ryan Gracie was a pussy .. ironic on ...

  • @buxadonoff how could you say that? he fought with all his heart in each one of his fights, was killed at a very young age and left behind a child and family, all you got on him is "he was a pussy"?

  • @ordaboy I was beeing ironic .. though i make it very clear .. ;D

  • @ordaboy ryan was the only good gracie fighter besides renzo

    the rest suck

  • @187policebrutality Roger shows some promise as long as he doesn't keep getting knocked out like his last fight.

  • DUMB FUCK THIS IS AFTER THE DIAZ FIGHT, YA DIPSHIT

  • @Mr1derful713 ur a dumbass this shit is hella older fag

  • @Mr1derful713 If by Diaz you mean, Nick, this fight took place before the Shamrock/Diaz fight.

  • nick diaz got pay back

  • i expec ya i expec ya good.

  • Cesar cant fight worth shit!!! Hahhaahha

  • hes almost had him

  • he is faggot and coaching st pierre gay

  • @michaeljacksonisnotd michael jackson is in hell burning. that fucking child molesting fag. it's a good thing that sex offender is dead. you troll as fag hahhahah, just beat it beat it hahahh DEAD FAG

  • @blaziankhmer u're so cool:)

  • Cesar Gracie sucks! haha

  • did cesar even train for this fight? he looks like shit haha

  • haha this fight fucker actually fought in MMA? and he got KO'd?! ^^

  • gracie talks shit about gsp and he had 1 fight

  • @amo652 at least he didn't stall his way to being a champion loll.

  • Tito Ortiz isn’t that good, neither is phil baroni. That fight with Bass Rutten was a close decision. If you don’t fight the best in any league then you’re not the best. The day that frank fights real competition will be the day that I respect him. Nick Diaz on the other hand has fought some of the best. THAT’S WHY HE HAS A TITLE SHOT COMING UP WITH GSP!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Thats what happens Cesar you fuckin cunt

  • This event took place in 2006, its the same shamrock that fought Diaz. Frank sucks

  • @herr7277 Frank Shamrock beat Dan Henderson, Bas Rutten, Tito Ortiz, Jeremy Horn, Phil Baroni and some great Japanese fighters from Pride. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. Or does Nick Diaz fight shitty fighters? Thats pretty lame if he does. Keyboard warriors amaze me.

  • cesar quit mma after this

  • i agree diaz fought a washed up frank

  • Now I understand why Diaz was so emotional fighting Frank

  • Frank Shamrock has had those braces for at least 15 years

  • Comment removed

  • buena pelea pero el refery hubiera dado unos segundos mas antes de parar esta pelea en fin.

  • How did this fight even get sanctioned?

  • Frank Shamrock p4p best lhw ever.

  • @Fourtyb4five - don't you mean the best ever p4p MW champion??. He was one of the best MW champions i agree but not the best ever, he was a thousand times the fighter his brother Ken was, Ken became, and still is, a laughing stock of MMA!!

  • @Fourtyb4five

Pound for pound light heavyweight? I don't think you know what the term pound for pound refers too.

  • @discoandherpes I was just about to say that and someone said it before me lol. p4p means any weight not "all together"

  • What the fuck is up with Franks lips?? Did he get fuckin Botox shots or something? Looks like he has double fat lip. And have to agree, this fight was a bit of a let down for two amazing Legends of MMA..wish it woulda went a it longer an on the ground, see how Franks catch wrestling pairs up with Cesars BJJ

  • @chiggz mouthpiece sitting high

  • @35november

Is that all it is ya? Certainly looks wierd compared too usual lol. Cheers

  • @chiggz

Frank Shamrock is one of those people who are well into adult, that wears braces.

  • @BUK7550 shamrock has only been wearing braces a couple years; when he was in ufc he had terrible teeth

  • Ya and frank did't fight a young ceasar gracie tooly!

  • This is how BJJ teaches you how to block... use your face. Haha!

  • That cage is fucking huge.

  • this fight was definatly a let down :( Lesson 1 of Gracie jui jitsu : Do not concentrate on stand up skills.

  • announcer - "Legend of MMA .. Cesar Gracie!"

    Cesar Gracie's mma record: 0-1

  • @ObviousTrull nice one :D

  • @choyleefutkid1 Dude dont talk shit bout Cesar Gracie look at what hes done with nick jake and gilbert they are all badass who are highly ranked in their divisions

  • fuck weres the fight ? lol

  • In all fairness, the old dogs deserve the utmost respect for getting mma on the map but that's about it. The biggest factor that never should be overlooked is how fast the game is progressing. The younger guys always have the advantage b/c trainers are still developing techniques for conditioning, mechanics, gameplan's etc. that will best suit mma. Not only that but with mma attracting more attention, recruiters are able to filter through a higher level of potential from a wider talent pool.

  • @nibbles1637 kids are now growing up "with" the sport and developing a natural sense for it. By the time they are old enough to get into a gym, they can take every lesson and fly with it. Not to mention that every big name in the sport has a target on their back. Every spectator knows the range, speed, techniques, etc. of their favorite fighter. It was Tito Ortiz that told Ken Shamrock that it's all about "In with the new, out with the old". That proves true as he is now on the other side.

  • @nibbles1637 So in summary, no...Frank was never on the same level as Nick. Frank IS an extraordinary individual who was able to put the whole game together on his own. That's why he will always be "The Prototype for modern MMA"....but remember that the very concept of "prototype" means that it was always intended to be surpassed, inevitably.

  • Diaz got revenge

  • @MrWrestleicester Diaz beat an old man. Nick Diaz didn't fight this Frank Shamrock.

  • @TheJASM4collection Hilarious. "This Frank Shamrock"... you mean the Frank Shamrock that beat a 40 year old man who never fought before and making his mma debut? And then never fighting ever again? I think your mistaken, Frank beat an old man.

  • @Voxtrot7 Frank did beat an old man as well in Cesar Gracie, but Frank didn't fight like this against Nick Diaz.. Frank stood there like a punching bag like BJ Penn did last week.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheJASM4collection this fight was only two yers b4 he fought nick..

  • @TheDubeo It was actually three years and that time difference is pretty big as far as combat sports is concerned. It's the same thing with guys like Penn and Couture. They were on top of the world in 2007 and 2008, but then two or three years go by and they are retired.

  • @TheJASM4collection Frank was only 3 years older when he fought Nick.

  • @4R33D0M three years time is a big difference

  • @TheJASM4collection not really... you make it seem as if he was Randy Couture's age, he was only 35 years old when he fought Diaz.

  • @4R33D0M For as long as Shamrock had been fighting, it was the equivalent to Couture's age. He started fighting when he was 22 and pretty much retired when he was 35. That's a long time for fighting, especially the way he fought. That whole myth about athletes peak performance is bullshit. If you prepare the right way, you can perform the same way at 40 as you did at 25.

  • @TheJASM4collection professional athletes usually don't peak until they are 33 ~ 36 years old.

  • @4R33D0M Tell that to Jon Jones or Nate Diaz

  • @TheJASM4collection idc if Frank was 100 years old, Diaz got revenge.

  • @Arcturistheballer revenge on an old man

  • @TheJASM4collection

Two years later does not make you an old man. Besides, at this time, Gracie was older compared to Frank, and had a total of ZERO fights in his career.

  • @unabomberman oh really? Because that seems to be the case for Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva, Randy Couture, Both Shamrock Brothers, Tito Ortiz, etc. Your Gracie fact has no influence on the fact that back in 2006 and 2007 Frank Shamrock was on the top of his game and that 2-3 years later, he was old.

  • @TheJASM4collection

Based on how much information, I as? He then fought Renzo Gracie and got disqualified but still fucked him up, beat Baroni, and then lost to Le and then DIaz.

If Frank was old, then he was already old when he beat Gracie, who was as green as green comes--either way, three or two years, and receiving two ass-whoopings, later does not prove your argument that the Frank that Beat CEsar Gracie was hot shit and then wasn't.

  • @unabomberman Frank cheated in the Renzo fight first off. That's a big difference from "fucking him up." Renzo was winning that fight too. Anyone can beat Phil Baroni. It wasn't Frank's fault Strikeforce didn't have a deeper middleweight division back then, but Frank was the same exact fighter he was when still fighting in the UFC to when he fought Cesar and Renzo. But taking a year off in between fights decreases a fighters skills. If you knew anything about fighting, you'd know that.

  • But no, you are being a keyboard warrior and and defending Cesar Gracie and Nick Diaz without acknowledging facts about MMA and these fighters.

  • What I'm trying to reason with you, whoever you are, is that Frank wasn't hot shit at any point even when he fought newbie Cesar Gracie, Cung Le, or even Nick Diaz. He fought twice in 99, once in 00, once in 03 against a nobody, and once in 06 against Gracie.

Frank used to be hot shit but then he did other stuff with his life and then just showed up to get paid from time to time. This even goes agrees with your ring-rust argument.

Does that not sound unreasonabe to you? If so you are an idiot.

  • @unabomberman Frank wasn't the fighter he was when he faced Cung Le or Nick Diaz. When he fought Cung Le, he tried to kickbox with him which was fucking retarded. All he had to do was get close and get a trip takedown at least and submit Le. When he fought Nick Diaz, he did the same thing BJ Penn did. He kept his distance from Diaz and lead with his face against Diaz's punches. Those are signs the guy who was dominant for such a long time, is no longer there.

  • @unabomberman Choosing to fight Cung Le and Nick Diaz aren't exactly fights you show up to collect a paycheck for. Besides, what would he need a paycheck for when he's already a fulltime commentator for Strikeforce and runs a full time gym?

  • @TheJASM4collection

Yes. B/c these guys never know when to quit. Look at Fedor, Nog, Brock, Hughes, etc. So, again: Yes. Frank showed up to a) get a paycheck, and b) do what he likes. It worked against Gracie and Baroni, and probably would've worked against Le had he not fucked around with not using his catch-wrestling against the Ssanshou specialist.

At some point Frank correctly realized that getting paid mattered most than getting punched in the face and so he fought less and less.

  • @TheJASM4collection The Frank Shamrock who beats up 0 - 0 old men?! XD

  • @jitteryjoe I agree that Cesar Gracie was too old and too inexperienced to compete at this point, but Frank Shamrock was still a decent fighter at this point.

  • @TheJASM4collection three years later turns him into an old man???

  • @bbjrsr Yes. If you want another example, I'll give you some. BJ Penn and Randy Couture. Both were on top of the world in 2007 and 2008, then in 2010 and 2011 both men declined drastically.

  • @bbjrsr Also dont forget that sometime during those three years, Cung Le freakin breaks his arm with a high kick. I'll bet Shamrock's boxing got real hurt by that. He didn't do so well trading hands with Diaz, but looking at this fight...

  • @CommanderYuan thats a good point i hadn't seen that cung le fight I just watched it. Thats gotta hurt. I just have a ridiculous bias towards cesar gracie i love that guy

  • @bbjrsr You HAVE to watch that fight. Gotta be my favorite in Cung's career, next to that flying spinning back kick that finished his rematch with Scott Smith!

  • @MrWrestleicester Diaz is going to get owned by GSP

  • @butternuts14 how? he's ducking nick diaz all the time

  • fail

  • I hope Bret Hart wasn't watching this fight

  • good thing nick diaz got pay back

  • @ufcpride93

yeah when frank was washed up. Diaz would get snuffed by prime frank

  • @Stoogemeister420 you mean when frank was on roids

  • @ufcpride93 yea lol.

  • @ufcpride93 trust me old frank would kill diaz

  • @rozzalenda123 HAHA!...YOU ARE RETARDED..Trust you? because your a fighter right? DOUBT IT...I HATE DIAZ AS A PERSON AND AS A FIGHTER...And i still know he would destroy shamrock at any point in his career

  • frank shamrock is soo shit he is soo overated

  • @LenchMob97 shamrock helped make this sport what it is today..

  • @DodgeDweller420 naw liddell ortiz n couture

  • @LenchMob97 umm no they helped but shamrock started fighting before those guys..

  • @DodgeDweller420 hahaha im pretty sure more ppl watch liddel more than shamcock nice try fanboy

  • @LenchMob97 number one im not a fanboy number two it dosnt matter if ppl watch one more than the other.. the shamrocks started fighting before everyone.. ken was in ufc 1. and frank was the first ufc light heavyweight champion. all im saying is the shamrocks helped make this sport what it is today. why do you have to start disrespecting me when i never disrespected you??

  • @DodgeDweller420 even though im not a big fan of the Shamrocks. i do agree with you. they did help make MMA to what it is today. i liked franks fights with Bas lol so awesome!!

  • When did this fight happen?

  • 3:47 is that nick diaz?

  • At 1:59 did Cesar stick the middle finger at Frank

  • gracies first fight.... i wouldn't brag about this if i was shamrock

  • Yeah,Cesar was actually lucky that he wasn't KO'd cold!
