The reason is that people on some level refuse to allow their view of reality to be stretched too far. It causes too much insecurity to contemplate that if there are actually UFOs in our skies that it is also a very short leap to consider the possibility that they may be making special contact with certain humans for reasons not fully understood. It's far easier on people to draw the line at some point and just label those whose experiences go beyond the comfort zone as "kooks"

The reason is that people on some level refuse to allow their view of reality to be stretched too far. It causes too much insecurity to contemplate that if there are actually UFOs in our skies that it is also a very short leap to consider the possibility that they may be making special contact with certain humans for reasons not fully understood. It's far easier on people to draw the line at some point and just label those whose experiences go beyond the comfort zone as "kooks"

damn, man i just seen exactly what they described on March 15, 2011 at exactly 6:20pm...i was driving down damen headed south, right when you go over the bridge for 55, about two blocks before archer. I seen a ufo and it vanished into what looked like a cloud of smoke exactly how he described it...i wish i could find somebody else who saw what i saw..its very depressing.

This was taken off, of the Chicago Tribune's website since Colbert linked it some months ago. This is hands down, the best documented UFO sighting I've ever looked into. @4:35 "The Government knows a lot more than they're willing to tell?" naaaaaaa, they wouldn't do that? One thing's for sure, it's not top secret kit, they generally don't fly that stuff to the most populated airport on earth in broad daylight and loiter for 20 mins so everyone can get a good picture..
