She didn't compare the magz to child porn at all. Here's (that section) of the argument simplified;

Her: they should be banned

Him: we cant ban something simply because we don't like it

Her: it's not simply because I don't like it, it's because I think it's morally wrong. Like child pornography, it's banned for moral reasons, not because "we just dont like it".

Note where the comparison came in...she compared the banning of things which are morally wrong to the banning of child porn.

This woman is being a little over the top. I agree that magazines like Nuts And Zoo are a bit like soft porn, they only seem to contrubute to one type of demographic. I buy FHM and GQ, I see them as mens magazines not 'lads mags'. FHM and GQ will have a range of different women on the cover and they are always covered up. She's a bit hypocritical as well because womens magazines will have slogans like '30 new ways to get an orgasm'...so should they be on the top shelf as well?
