watched this to check out the new TMV drummer, very excited for their new album. He brings me back to the jon theodore days for sure! He seems to use really short sticks though and has terrible posture hahah, considering how god damn good he is on this track
@KokotheJugDrummer Yeah man, I agree. Pridgen and the rest probably trump theodore and Parks in the technique department but these two just oooze style and are so good to watch.
To everyone that's been dismissive towards Omar's style: you're the preceding generation of assholes that glazed over Picasso's work proclaiming "that's stupid, it doesn't even look like a person". I want you to understand, but it's probably not worth the effort.
This is the 100000th time I listened to this. And it does NOT get old. Every time I listen to it, my mind orgasms and I hear new stuff everytime I listen to it. This exceeds perfection!
This is... this is really good. I'm no musician, but I know this is really good, and I don't need to explain the why to anyone. It should be self evident.
@maickhaaa well, theodore left, then they've had like 3 or 4 drummers since then... and this one sounds a bit like theodore. also meant to say that theodore is tmv's quintessential drummer - all others are temporary 'til he gets back :P i guess pridgen showed another side of tmv as well... i liked him too. bedlam in goliath and octahedron are unique albums in their own right
