Well, what do you expect when you invade a country a slaughter innocent people? They won't let you go, of course you'll be captured and put on trial for MURDER. If this happened to a middle eastern then they'll be locked up in Guantanamo, and would tortured for the rest of their lives, without a trial. And it most obviously would not be on TV.
So here's a question if the allegations were false.....then why did "poor Michael" pay him off. If he was innocent why not go to trial? What so he could move on an sing more, the guy didn't put out a decent album after that, so it's not like he had a huge career to return to. You Michael lovers need to grow up and realize you only say how much you love him, because he's dead. 1 year ago you didn't give a damn about him.
I'm not so sure about it being a smart financial move since those allegations haunted him for the rest of his life, and the ruined image probably cost him a pretty penny in the long run.
Why would MJ want to waste his time and money trying to 'prove his innocence' in a civil case? What was important to him was the criminal investigation, and he certainly cooperated with that(the strip search and all that jazz), which is more than anybody can ever say about the accuser and his family.
Making judgments of guilt based on civil settlements is unreasonably jumping to conclusions anyways, as the vast majority( 90 to 95%) of civil cases are resolved through settlement payments.
